Great intro to the city ( if you haven’t been there before). Nice combination of history and folklore.
They canceled last minute and didn’t even notify me. Me and my family were standing outside waiting until I called
advertised as hop on any stop but then must exit at specific stop to get prepaid online ticket validated. time tables differed between website and printed map. lost over an hour waiting for a bus that didn't arrive as scheduled.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with City Sightseeing Philadelphia. We are sorry to hear that several aspects of your hop-on hop-off Philadelphia bus tour did not work as expected, particularly regarding the ticket validation process and the inconsistencies between the website and printed timetable. This is not the seamless experience we aim to provide, and we understand how this can cause confusion and inconvenience during your visit. We also regret that you lost valuable time waiting for a bus that did not arrive as scheduled. Reliable timing and clear operational information are essential parts of our service, especially in a city like Philadelphia where guests rely on the bus to plan their sightseeing efficiently. Your comments will be shared with our local operations team to review both the communication around ticket validation procedures and the consistency of timetable information across all platforms. Despite these issues, we hope you were still able to enjoy some of Philadelphia’s highlights along the route, such as the Independence Hall area, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and Penn’s Landing, which are key parts of the City Sightseeing experience. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It is very valuable for improving our service.
The historical tour was good but had a hard time finding where to start and how to show tickets on phone. Also since I use a cane I could not go to second floor of Betsy Ross House or First Congress Hall. My son was disappointed not to be able to see Independence Hall as we didn't know about coming earlier in morning. Was glad to see Liberty Bell. The talk on the bus was especially good. I would not advise anyone handicapped or using a cane to try this tour.
Nick was an excellent guide in Philadelphia. He was engaging, friendly, and fun ~ and he must be the best tour guide in Philly!
Dear Paige, Thank you very much for your kind review and for choosing City Sightseeing Philadelphia. We are delighted to hear that you had a fun and educational experience, and that Nick made such a positive impression during your tour. He will be thrilled to know that his engaging and friendly approach contributed to making your visit so enjoyable. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you on board again in the near future. Kind regards, City Sightseeing Team
Although narration was good we couldn’t hear much of it sitting in the top. Also the bus tour felt very rushed and not stopping at may places though we asked for it early on. Not worth it for us.
As a newbie to travelling to Philadelphia I thought the best way to see the city was to use sightseeing bus, my ticket was purchased for $39.00. For that you can either do hop on hop off and then wait 20-30 minutes for the next bus to arrive or what I did was staying on the bus to do the whole tour. Then do another tour after getting something to eat and then getting off the spots I was interested in visiting & keeping myself busy for 20-30 minutes until the next bus arrived. I found new food spots to try out at a later date of my trip to Philly. From doing this trip I was able navigate around Philly independently using the public transport. Excellent service.
It was fun. It took all day. The reason it gets three stars in my book is the Driver said that They were gonna wait 20 to 25 minutes and then take off but that is not true. You get off the bus and they leave and another bus comes in 20 or 25 minutes. We got off the bus to use the bathroom at the Betsy Ross house and the driver said he was gonna wait 10 minutes. We came back in 3 minutes and he was gone. We had to catch the other bus, which was a little late, but we didn’t mind.
Dear customer Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you had fun during your tour! We do apologize for the confusion regarding the waiting times at the stops. Your feedback is very valuable, and we’ll make sure to reinforce communication with our drivers so that passengers have a smoother experience when hopping off and on. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you on board again for another enjoyable City Sightseeing tour. Best regards, City Sightseeing Customer Care
You canceled the tour on us due to a parade in downtown Philadelphia.🤨. I would like a full refund.
Hi Karen, we’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the parade in downtown Philadelphia. To request a refund, please contact our Philadelphia office directly. They will assist you promptly with the full refund process.
Do not do not buy tickets for this tour. We got off the first stop and three buses have gone by all full and we cannot get back on all the buses are full when they come to this . We spent $160 for the four of us and we’ve been stranded at one of the stops for half an hour. We will not get our moneys worth on this tour as we are stuck in one spot. I can’t find a phone number to contact anyone about our chances of getting on. We were also very disappointed in our tour guide. There are no headsets for the English tour, which would be so helpful for the hearing challenged
