City of David and Underground Jerusalem Day Trip from Tel Aviv

Description
Join our City of David Tour Jerusalem and explore the ancient heart of biblical Jerusalem. This immersive one-day tour takes you beneath the modern city to where Jerusalem’s history began, from King David’s era through the Second Temple period. We start with a panoramic view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives or Mount Scopus, then enter the City of David near the Dung Gate. Inside, we will overlook the Kidron Valley and ancient burial caves, learning why King David chose this strategic capital. The journey continues through remarkable archaeological remains, including King David’s palace, a Proto-Aeolic capital, a four-room house, and the Gihon Spring. From there, we walk to the historic Pool of Siloam and ascend the ancient stone-paved Pilgrimage Road. Finally, we head to the Jewish Quarter for a lunch break, concluding the day on Mount Zion at King David’s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper.

The day trip started and ended on time. Everything was well organized! Danny Gerson was our tour guide and he was outstanding. I would gladly book a trip again, knowing he will be in charge. Danny is a great historian and he made sure everyone could see and hear all the details in regards to the tour. I would highly recommend him and the Bein Harim Israel Tours.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that your day trip was well-organized and met your expectations. We're especially pleased that Danny made your experience memorable. Your sincere recommendation of our services is much appreciated by all at Bein Harim.
This was a totally action packed tour. I am amazed at all we were able to see in a day. It was a very hot day and the tour guide was aware of his guests and made sure we were okay and hydrated. My fit bit said we walked 5 miles. I am 66 and my husband is 71 and we did fine but were challenged at times. The tour covers both the City of David ruins / excavation site outside the walls of the old city and then the tour continues into Old Jerusalem. Our Guide Daniel, was very knowledgable and shared so much information. The underground tunnels were amazing. Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you for your amazing review! We're thrilled to hear that you had an action-packed tour and were able to see so much in a day. It's great to know that our tour guide, Daniel, was attentive to your needs, especially considering the hot weather, and provided valuable information throughout the tour. We appreciate your recommendation and are glad to hear that the underground tunnels were particularly amazing.
Our guide Roy was great. The tour was good too we had fun and enjoyed our time in Jerusalem. The only thing is the 2 transfers in the morning to get to our final bus but it wasn't too bad.
We are pleased to hear that you had a great experience with our guide, Roy. It's wonderful to know that you had fun and enjoyed your time exploring the city. We appreciate your understanding regarding the two transfers in the morning, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I joined this as part of my 3 day tour and loved it. Dorit Epstein was my guide and she's really good. It helps that she was a teacher so she remembered everyone's name. I'm also grateful that she walked me to my hotel doorstep, making sure that my luggage arrives at the hotel too. 5 star for her domain knowledge and outstanding service
Tour operator failed to confirm thst site was open on Independence Day, then cancelled the tour at 9 pm for a 6:40 pick up the next morning! They offered to put us on another tour that was supposed to go to Yad Vashem, which was closed, but again, they failed to tell us beforehand. Whats worse is their website lists conflicting information. I texted them from the tour and they were rude and obnoxious! They are a sloppy, inattentive tour operator, where its about taking your money and disclosing the shortcomings afterwards! I would avoid using this operator wherever possible! They had an opportunity to do the right thing a d failed miserably! You may be very disappointed! I will be taking it up further with TripAdvisor and Viator once back stateside!
Dear Alan, we are most regretful that this was the nature of your experience. As you can see from all the previous reviews the major majority of travelers are very satisfied with our operations! It is not in any manner typical of our operations and tour management. Your harsh comments are an expression of anger, this is understood. Since the resumption of operations after Covid (less than 2 mths), many locations have changed their operating hours. Government offices inform us! accordingly. Indeed these were known at the last moment and your accusation on this is understood. The website is being revised due to changes, but the major changes that go through the external source may not be updated. Most harsh is your mention of the manner of our office staff who have to be attentive as well as helpful. We will look into this tomorrow. We view this most seriously and will do our best to rectify it. Sincerely, Bein Harim team
Mr. Eric Grosser was very professional very well informed and pleasure to listen to his Explanation of Ancient history A+++

We had an amazing time and experience on this tour. We took the bus from Tel Aviv with Itamar who was fun, entertaining, and very knowledgeable! We then got off in Jerusalem and had the tour with Yoel who was an amazing guide through the City of David! I can’t thank them both enough for the amazing experience my family had! If you need to find a tour company in Israel, use Bein Harim and if you get lucky to have Itamar and/other Yoel, it will be an even more amazing experience!

We loved the tour. We visited the city of David, the wall of mourning, we passed by Mount Scopus and Mount of Olives, always with great explanations about the places. Our guide, Dorit Epstein, was wonderful: patient, friendly, cult, full of stories to tell and with a great English to understand. I recommend the walk.
