Pick a different boat to watch the fireworks on

This has sworn me off of a speed boat tour. There was at least 80 people on the boat, and the "captain" was speeding so fast that we kept porpoising. I was worried he was going to flip the boat. It was almost 10pm and windy. He intentionally drove us into the wind, subsequently driving recklessly and soaking the passengers. When it is late and already cold who in their right mind would do that. A little boy in front of us was freezing, as most of the passengers were as well. Thank goodness I was wearing a hoodie, but it was drenched so this was not a fun ride. He was attempting to pass the time until the fireworks, although there was no justification for this. He ought to have taken us to see the lighthouses or engaged in a more worthwhile activity. The "tour guide" stated a few facts about the buildings. At one point he said do you see he building with three blue dots. We all said no. He just went on stating information about it. I would definitely not call this a tour. The music was excessively loud, and considering that families and children were present, they should NOT have been playing songs containing profanity. Thank goodness for the fireworks. I will say those were spectacular, but the cruise itself was horrible.

Great experince

We thought the seadog firework cruise was awesome. It was well worth the price. It lasted a good amount of time, about an hour total. Gives some historic facts. Great tour guide. The atmosphere was great as well. The boat was full, but it was still comfortable and not over crowded.

Boom - Fireworks show!

Andy - you are funny! Boat ride at night to watch year end fireworks. Perfect night. Felt safe. Andy kept you entertained and had lots of facts on Chicago. Lasted about 45 minutes, which was perfect. My daughter and I would go again

Soaking fun experience

Bring a waterproof jacket or change of clothes. We are soaked. Fireworks were good. Only downside was that the speed boating lasted less that 5 minutes. The entire trip from loading onto and exiting the boat was 45 minutes.

Great experience gone wrong

If I could give zero stars, I would. The captain needlessly sped in circles on a cold, windy night, drenching everyone and making the entire fireworks ride miserable. I spent the show shivering, soaked, and unable to enjoy it—and even had to ride home wet. I understand this might be fun on a mild summer night, but in those conditions it was inconsiderate and ruined what should have been a great experience. I believe the captain’s name was skunk. Tell him he stinks!

Good with some asterisks

It was a good experience. Fireworks with the accompanies music was great. The only two things I would says is: they should've told ppl that you would get wet, specially sitting closer to the front of the boat. The tour guide just said, good luck with your hair tonight. Also at the end, when some of us were taking some pictures on the boat, one of the workers was very mean. He fussed at us to get off the boat, saying we took a lot pictures already (mind you none of us had taken pics on the boat because we couldn't stand or use flash during the tour). He basically shooed us away. Very rude! That's why I would give it a 3.5 stars if I could. Also i do feel it is a bit overpriced.

Unfortunately our taxi...

Unfortunately our taxi driver didn't show up we found an Uber driver who tried to get us there but traffic was horrible & we couldn't even make it to Navy Pier. I tried calling the tour operator number but only a recording. I paid alot of money & missed it. I hope to talk to someone about a refund. Very disappointed!
