Sit back and relax aboard your comfortable, fully equipped luxury coach as we set off toward the world-famous Cinque Terre, with an additional stop in the iconic city of Pisa.
Your journey from Florence to Cinque Terre begins on a comfortable coach, where you can sit back and relax as your guide shares engaging stories about the region. Along the way, you’ll hear about the charming Tuscan city of Lucca and its famous native, Puccini, and catch distant views of the renowned Carrara marble quarries. You’ll also be introduced to Cinque Terre and its five picturesque fishing villages—Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore—that together make up this beautiful national park. Once you arrive in La Spezia, your expert tour leader will greet you and guide you through the next part of your trip. With their clear instructions and helpful insights, you’ll board the train and continue your adventure with ease.
Our first stop of the day will be in the picturesque village of Vernazza. Known for its colorful harbor, narrow streets, and postcard-perfect views, Vernazza is often considered one of the most beautiful of the five villages. Here, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace—relax at one of the cheerful bars or cafés lining the waterfront, soak in the laid-back atmosphere, or even take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience the authentic beauty and coastal charm of this iconic destination.
After leaving Vernazza, the group will take a short train ride to Monterosso, the largest village in Cinque Terre, famous for its beautiful golden beach and charming artisan shops. Here, you’ll have the chance to relax on the soft sands, stroll along the scenic promenade, browse for unique souvenirs, or even sample some local wine. With its lively atmosphere, colorful buildings, and stunning sea views, Monterosso offers the perfect mix of relaxation and authentic coastal Italian charm.
The next part of the journey takes you to the historic city of Pisa, famous around the world for its remarkable architectural treasures. Pisa was a powerful maritime republic during the Middle Ages, thriving as a center of trade, art, and learning. Its wealth and influence are reflected in the city’s stunning monuments. Walking through Pisa’s streets, you can still feel the echoes of its rich history, from medieval palaces to historic squares, offering a fascinating glimpse into a city that shaped much of Tuscany’s cultural heritage.
Piazza dei Miracoli is one of the most iconic and historically significant public spaces in Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This expansive, lawn‑covered square showcases four extraordinary medieval monuments that reflect the city’s power as a major maritime republic from the 11th to the 14th centuries: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the monumental Camposanto cemetery, and, of course, the world‑famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Each building in the square exemplifies the distinctive Pisan Romanesque architectural style, with elegant marble facades, intricate arches, and rich artistic detail that speak to the city’s deep cultural heritage and international influences. Walking through Piazza dei Miracoli, you’ll feel transported back to a time when Pisa was at the height of its influence — and you’ll understand why this remarkable ensemble continues to draw millions of visitors from around the world each year.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most recognized landmarks in the world, famous for its unexpected tilt that has captivated visitors for centuries. This freestanding bell tower, part of the magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli complex, was built over 200 years starting in the 12th century and showcases the elegant Pisan Romanesque architectural style. Its slight lean, caused by unstable soil, gives it a unique charm and makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Pisa. Upgrade your experience to include skip-the-line entry, allowing you to climb to the top of the tower and enjoy breathtaking views of the city, the Arno River, and the surrounding Tuscan countryside—a truly unforgettable perspective of this historic gem.
After a day filled with unforgettable sights, it’s time to relax and begin the comfortable journey back to Florence. Settling into your luxury coach, you can reflect on the incredible experiences of the day—from exploring the colorful villages of Cinque Terre and enjoying free time in Vernazza and Monterosso, to discovering the historic streets of Pisa and taking in the architectural marvels of Piazza dei Miracoli.

What an amazing day exploring Cinque Terre and Pisa! Ado was an amazing guide, keeping track of the details and making the day so easy. From sharing knowledge to keeping us on time, from culture to taking photos, Ado was a joy. I can’t believe I just saw the leaning tower of Pisa, and I’m so grateful that we took this tour!!!
Had a great Cinque Terre tour with our guides Naomi and Luca. Both brought their personalities and knowledge of the area to the tour. You should be proud to have them as employees. Since they went the extra mile and smile, I have a little suggestion. It’s best done to the Aerosmith song “Walk this Way”. Enjoy… Walk About ( To the song Walk this Way by Aerosmith) Cinque Terre lovers There’s a tour like no other Who can fill with your day with so much fun From the bus to the train Their always there to explain As you travel town to town in the sun Always with a smile They go the extra mile Naomi and Luca should really be praised For the hard work they do I have a suggestion for you How bout giving them both a raise Walk About We all shout Without doubt Don’t cop out Just give them a raise Seaside villas Lined up and down the hillas Stretching up the Italian Coast With breath taking views So many we never knew An experience we all will boast Speaking for the rest These two really gave their best A credit to your industry by far So maybe tomorrow You can give them some more Euros And on Yelp I will give you 5 STARS Walk About We all shout Without doubt Don’t cop out Just give them a raise
Amazing, informative, fun tour! Alex, our guide, was so knowledgeable and comfortable to talk to. He showed us all the ins and outs and then some! He made the most of our day and made us feel like we saw it all! Lucca is a hidden gem full of old world style and charm! Highly recommend this tour and Alex!
We spent a good half a day with Stephano, and he was extremely personable. He filled the day with history and stories. He dove into details about lots of things and helped us learn a lot more about Pisa and Lucca. Also, in the van he told us many stories and useful information about the places we were passing by. Great tour overall! Highly recommended!
Alex was fabulous. We were the only 2 people on the tour and he gave us a very informative and enjoyable trip. Would recommend this tour to everyone.
I can’t say enough great things about this excursion. We thoroughly enjoyed Pisa and Lucca. From the start we felt informed and never confused about the meeting location, which can be stressful especially if you are unfamiliar with an area. Everything was communicated and it was done so in a timely fashion. The climb up the tower was timed so we didn’t have to stand in line too long. Lucca is so quaint. It was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Florence. The best part of the tour was our guide Stefano! He was knowledgeable and patient and kind. He walked us through both places. He made recommendations and waited patiently for us at meeting points. I can’t say enough good things about him and this trip. Thank you for an amazing day!
Alex was awesome! So knowledgeable and kind! Great day trip and good way to see 2 cities at once! Highly recommend!
We so enjoyed spending the afternoon with Stefano. He went above and beyond at every turn to ensure we would have an unforgettable experience. It will be remembered as one of the true highlights of our trip in Tuscany and Umbria. Grazie mille!
