A small group experience is definitely the way to go. Our tour guide, Joon, was punctual, personable, and accommodating. It felt like we were touring with a friend.

We have taken many great tours with Viator but this experience did not meet the high quality of other tours. Our tour guide was a sweet lovely woman who tried her best but spoke little English and didn’t provide any narrative as we drove to and visited 5 spots listed on the itinerary. She did play a short audio about 2 of the sights on her cell phone, but there was none of the usual narrative from our guide about the city, the history, the architecture, etc because she didn’t speak much English. I must reiterate she was a lively person but perhaps needed more training. 2 of the venues she took us to, at/ near the Botanical Garden ( listed on the itinerary) closed at 4 and she took us there at 5. She didn’t seem to know the hours of operation. This tour was $110 per person, and we basically had a car and driver with no guide.
Hello. I am very sorry that your trip did not meet your expectations. We will take your feedback into consideration and work hard to improve the areas you mentioned so that we can provide an even better tour in the future. Thank you.
It was a well organised trip with lots to see in the timescale. Tour guide was very good. Only fault was that the vehicle was only big enough for 5 people.
Thank you. I will take your feedback into consideration and make sure future tour participants have a more comfortable experience. Thanks again.
Private tour was very comfortable and relaxful. Saw the most popular sights of Christchurch: scenic overview of city, best wildlife park, royal botanical gardens, cathedral, and historic University of Canterbury.
