Itinerary
We visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city.
The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).
The first step to reach the Sugarloaf.
Located between the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Urca Mountain, the Praia Vermelha is a charming place.
Located in Santa Teresa, the Selarón Steps are famous for its bright and colourfull tiles.
The modern archtecture is very different from the traditional cathedrals we see out there. Enjoy the beautiful stained glasses and try to guess the biblical passages they got their inspiration from.
Football - or soccer, if you prefer - is part of the Brazilian life. We love to watch the games and share experiences with complete strangers that get together for one purpose: support their team on the field. The Maracanã Stadium is considered our temple and a sacred place for those who enjoy a great game. We can take pictures outside of the Stadium and share stories about our favorite matches.
See the Carnival temple, the place where the magic happens. The Sambadrome opens only during carnival time.

Great day out - covers all major sights - would highly recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed our day visiting the highlights of Rio. Delicious buffet lunch (included in price) which had excellent vegan options. Monica our guide was fantastic. Her knowledge and spontaneity introduced us to Brazilian history and life in Rio. Perfect Day 1 of our holiday here!
Had a wonderful experience with Monica and Bruno! Monica did a masterful job giving context for all the history behind the city, Christ the redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Not only was she knowledgeable, she made sure our group stuck together and got great photos and opportunity to enjoy our experience! Highly recommend!
Tour was great and she did a great job keeping up with where everyone in the group is.
We had an amazing experience with Monica! She was an excellent tour guide!
Very friendly. Always counting the number of people in the tour. Be quick and responsive to answer questions.
Sugarloaf was a pleasant experience whilst the Christ the Redeemer site needs some serious crowd control. One the the most congested tourist sites I’ve been to!
Magnificent day full of beautiful explanations from our guide Monica, who took excellent care of us! We recommend her to you; she is great!
