This was one of my favorite experiences in Japan and such a meaningful souvenir to take home. Since chopsticks are such an important part of daily life here, making my own felt like a special way to connect with Japanese culture. I loved learning about the different types of Japanese wood and hearing about their characteristics. Choosing was surprisingly difficult because they were all beautiful! The workshop was very hands-on, and the instructors were incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. We could engrave our chopsticks, they helped with translations, offered to take photos, and even turned the leftover wood shavings into a small keepsake. The attention to detail was wonderful. My only suggestion would be to include a little more explanation about the tools and woodworking process, as I would have loved to learn even more. That said, the pace will probably be perfect for most visitors. A truly memorable experience with lovely people. I highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic time at the chopstick-making workshop! The staff were friendly, patient, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. It was fun to create our own personalized chopsticks, and we learned a lot about traditional Japanese craftsmanship. A wonderful and memorable experience that we highly recommend!

What a fun 1-hour experience. Our guides were amazing, friendly, and made this so much fun. The experience itself is very hands-on, and lots of fun. And you walk away with your own chopsticks, potpourri, and souvenirs. Highly recommend!
