Cholula Pyramid and its churches Puebla

Description
If in Novohispano art is shown in all its splendor, in Cholula deep prehispanic airs are breathed. The city was built on the foundations of a large indigenous city. The pre-Hispanic Cholula was a large metropolis inhabited for thousands of years. Hernán Cortés thought, seeing the amount of teocalis he imagined that one could pray in a different temple every day of the year. Temples were built on these indigenous shrines; and today Cholula has 37 churches, something surprising for a city of its size. Because Cholula is art and the Tlacuilo - the scribe, the indigenous painter - is the author of masterpieces, such as the extraordinary Mural of the drinkers and the creative explosion of Santa María Tonantzintla Visit the majestic San Francisco Acatepec Temple and admire the incredible facade with Talavera pieces as well as the factories that continue to produce authentic works of art with the traditional process.

It’s fun to see temple ruins and beautiful churches. We had a friendly knowledgeable guide who loved to chat. Be aware not much lunch available.
Very expensive for the quality received. Read the fine print that entrance tickets are not included.
My personal guide was very good, full of knowledge and supplied much information about the tour. However, I was a single person on a two person tour so I had to pay the full price. I did not get a refund. Which was fine. I agreed to that. However, the five hour tour had me back home in my apartment in three hours and 50 minutes. So it was a great tour, although two weddings interrupted viewing two of the churches, but it was a Saturday and I can’t really complain about that either. Overall, it was a good tour, but I just feel a little gypped in as far as what I paid compared to the time I was given.
It was awesome and the guide was very knowledgeable, I recommend this tour! The area is packed with culture, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to enjoy it
The churches were beautiful but it seemed like a very rushed tour and ours ended almost two hours before the time. We saw about three churches from inside and there were so many more to be seen.
Tour of the churches of Cholula was amazing , I was introduced to a new piece of Mexico I never knew was here. Jose our guide was experienced and knowledgeable. The entire family enjoyed the beautiful interiors of the churches and the history associated with them. This felt like authentic Mexico.
