The 3 of us- 3 generations of women -had a great time! Cecelia was friendly & knowledgeable. Shared some of Turin's history with us as we tasted all the chocolate. Fun for everyone..
What a fantastic experience. Cecilia is an amazing host and did a wonderful job teaching us the history of chocolate in Turin. We learned so much while having the opportunity to try various types of chocolate and how they pair with wines and coffee. Not only did we learn about chocolate and how to truly enjoy them, we learned about Turin and her love of this beautiful city. By the time it was over she felt like family to us. Can’t wait to come back and have her host us on a food tour.
Reading your words truly made my day ❤️ One of the most beautiful compliments I could ever receive is that, by the end of our time together, I felt like family. That’s exactly what I hope every guest experiences: not simply tasting chocolate, but sharing stories, traditions, and the soul of Turin around a table. Chocolate has always been much more than a sweet treat here; it’s a way to understand the city’s character, its elegance, and its history. Knowing that you left with a deeper connection to both makes this experience incredibly rewarding. It was a real pleasure spending the afternoon with you, and I sincerely look forward to welcoming you back for another culinary adventure. Turin still has many delicious stories waiting to be shared. Until then, thank you for your kindness and for taking the time to write such a heartfelt review. Warmly, Cecilia
Cecilia was a wonderful guide — very upbeat, friendly, and engaging throughout the tour. The only thing I wish had been included was a list afterward of the amazing chocolates we tasted at each stop. When we went back to purchase some, we didn’t know exactly what we had tried, and unfortunately the shops didn’t either. Luckily, I had taken pictures! Another option could be allowing a little time to purchase chocolates right after each tasting. That said, I completely understand not wanting the experience to feel sales-focused, so I can see why she chose not to incorporate that. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for spending the afternoon with me exploring Turin’s chocolate traditions! I’m truly delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and appreciated my enthusiasm and passion for sharing one of my favorite subjects. I also wanted to thank you for your thoughtful feedback. During the experience I always explain the chocolates we taste, including their ingredients, fillings, and stories, because I know how important those details are for fellow chocolate lovers. That said, I love questions and am always happy to go even deeper whenever guests are curious or would like additional information :) Regarding purchases, our philosophy, as a husband and wife locally owned and run business, has always been to create an authentic experience rather than one that feels sales-oriented. I never want guests to feel any pressure to buy. However, because our groups are intentionally small and intimate, I am always happy to accommodate requests, and guests are absolutely welcome to purchase chocolates during the experience if they wish. All they need to do is ask: I am always delighted to help. I am also available after the tour by email should any questions come to mind, and all guests receive a follow-up email with the venues visited along with additional recommendations for enjoying Turin’s wonderful food scene. Thank you again for your kind words and for sharing your experience. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to welcome you back to Turin one day for another delicious adventure! Warmest regards, Cecilia
Fantastic tour with Cecilia, trying some wonderful chocolate from chocolate masters. Also really good gelato from a shop that has won awards - they even do gelato for dogs! Cecilia has a wealth of knowledge that she is happy to pass on. An added bonus is after any of their tours you will get an email with a list of suggested places to try out. Highly Recommended if you love chocolate and ice cream
Oh…Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure spending the afternoon together exploring Torino through chocolate, gelato, and all the sweet little stories hidden behind them ☺️ I always love showing guests that chocolate and gelato in Piemonte are not simply desserts, but part of the culture, craftsmanship, and everyday lifestyle of the city. From historic chocolate masters to artisanal gelato makers (including the lucky dogs of Torino 🐶🍨), I’m so happy you enjoyed discovering these special places with me. And thank you for mentioning the recommendations email as well. For us, the experience should continue even after the tasty time you spent together and it finishes helping foodies guests discover more authentic corners of Torino, local favorites, and beautiful places to enjoy during the rest of their stay in Italy. It means a lot to know you would highly recommend the experience to fellow chocolate and gelato lovers. Hopefully we will welcome you back one day for another delicious adventure in Piemonte. A big thank you again and warm hugs from Torino, Cecilia Xx
Cecilia is an amazing guide! Her knowledge is exceptional. My wife and I learned so much from her. It was wonderful to spend the afternoon with her. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the tour for you. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for these beautiful words ☺️🍫 “La Dolce Vita” is exactly the spirit we hope to share during our sweet culinary experiences in Turin: slowing down, tasting carefully, discovering the stories behind cafés, artisan chocolate, traditional bicerin and authentic Italian gelato culture. It truly means a lot to hear that you and Jennifer not only enjoyed the tastings, but also connected with the deeper traditions and food culture of Turin and Piedmont along the way. Sharing these stories and hidden details of the city is one of my greatest passions. Furthermore, I am so happy you could taste something that teletransported you to your childhood! Evviva i nocciolini :) And yes… Turin can be a dangerous place for anyone with a sweet tooth 😉✨ Thank you again for spending the afternoon with me and for so warmly recommending the experience. Hopefully a little piece of Turin’s dolce vita will stay with you both for a long time. Big hugs to Jennifer e ci vediamo presto :) Warmly, Cecilia Xx
Our experience was very entertaining and informed. The best chocolates were chosen for our delight. The biscine was excellent and the gelato tasting was accompanied by a fresh incite into how the flavours are achieved. Cecillia was engaging, her love forTurin was evident and she was happy to share her knowledge and passion with us. A very enjoyable morning.
Dear Carole, What a joy it was to welcome you into the sweet side of Turin 🍫✨ From historic chocolate traditions and silky gianduiotti to artisan gelato and warm bicerin, we always hope our guests leave not only tasting Piedmont, but truly understanding the culture, craftsmanship and stories behind every flavour. I am so happy to read your beautiful words. My passion for my hometown Turin, Italian food culture and the art of slow enjoyment is exactly what makes experiences like La Dolce Vita Torino so special and personal. Thank you for spending your morning with me and for sharing such thoughtful feedback. I hope the flavours of Turin stay with you for a very long time 💛 Warm wishes, Cecilia Xx
We had a great time with our host Cecelia. She is very knowledgeable about chocolate and local history. She welcomed our questions and treated us to a wonderful tasting experience of different chocolates and sweets.
What a beautiful way to describe it: sweets and history. Because in Turin, chocolate is never just chocolate. It’s a story that starts in royal courts, travels through cafés, and lands, deliciously, on your palate. I love bringing that layer into the experience. Not as a lecture, but as something you can taste, question, and play with: a more human, sociological way of exploring chocolate and the culture around it. Curiosity is always the best ingredient, and I’m so glad you brought yours to the table. Come back anytime… there are still many stories left to unwrap 🍫 Thanks for choosing our chocolate experience and for this positive feedback. Much appreciated. All the best, Cecilia
Cecilia provided a tour that was customized to our personalized interests in the culture, history and local characteristics of how hazel nuts, gelato, chocolate and coffee have shaped the region around Torino. She took us to some of the top notch historical boutiques to sample these products. This is a must tour for serious foodies.
Thank you so much for this, Robert! I really appreciate the way you described the experience (and the title of your beautiful review). For me, it’s never about following a fixed path, but about listening first: understanding what truly interests you, and then shaping a journey through Turin that connects culture and flavor in a meaningful way. This city has such a deep identity when it comes to hazelnuts, chocolate, gelato, and coffee, and I love revealing how these elements have quietly shaped its character over time. The boutiques we visited are places I personally cherish, not only for the quality of what they create, but for the stories and traditions they carry within Turin’s culinary heritage. Sharing those with guests like you, who are genuinely curious and interested, makes the experience even more special. I’m truly glad this chocolate and culinary experience in Turin resonated with you and your lovely wife. And I hope it stays with you as a lasting taste of Piedmont. Until the next time. Thanks again for everything. All the best, Cecilia
My sister and I had a fantastic morning exploring Torino with Cecilia. The tasting selections Cecilia made were wonderful. I am still dreaming of the Bicerin! If you are planning a trip to Torino, you won't regret booking this tour. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy.
My sweet and darling chocolate lovers, Reading your message felt like reliving that morning all over again: thank you for this! As someone who has always loved to have a sister, feels special to join sisters adventures… and be the one who offers them. So, again, grazie mille for now I am part of your Turin’s memories. Actually the sweetest one: what else? :) Exploring together Torino, one chocolate bite (and beyond) at the time, and going through tiny, yet powerful micro rituals, is exactly how I love to introduce this city. And the Bicerin… I completely understand you. It’s never just a drink: it’s a moment, a tradition, a small piece of Turin that stays with you long after you’ve left. Knowing that this experience became a highlight of your trip to Italy truly means a lot to me. My goal is always to create something personal, something that feels less like a tour and more like being gently guided into the everyday beauty of the city. If you ever find your way back to Turin, I would love to share another morning together: there are always more stories (and flavors) to discover. With chocolate love and gratitude, Cecilia Xx
We booked this tour the day before we did it and had great easy communication with Cecilia over text regarding some questions and meeting point. When we did the tour it was just me and my partner and it was like we were going out with a friend with Cecilia she was brilliant. I have some mobility issues and Cecilia was kind and patient. There was only one set of stairs which was no problem at all and not very much walking and we sat down at all the stops so for me it was perfect. We learned a lot and had some really great tastings. We bought stuff to take home as we went. We had chocolate, gelato, cakes and drinks and also learned about hazelnuts and the spreads Cecilia couldn’t have done any more for us I strongly recommend this tour and her This was the best thing we did all trip
My sweet and darling chocolate lovers, Thank you for taking the time to share this : your words truly stayed with me. From the very first messages we exchanged, I had the feeling this would be a special meeting. I always believe that a great experience begins long before we actually meet, in those small, human moments of connection and trust. Spending that time together with you and your partner felt incredibly natural: like sharing a piece of my everyday Turin with new friends. And that, for me, is the essence of what I try to create. I’m especially grateful for your note about the pace and accessibility. Every guest arrives with their own rhythm, and it’s important to me that the experience adapts to you — never the other way around. Turin can be beautifully gentle when discovered in the right way, and I’m so happy it felt comfortable and enjoyable throughout (despite the rain, but thank goodness we have huge porticos to walk through). Your curiosity made everything even richer: from the world of Piedmontese hazelnuts to the layered traditions behind chocolate, gelato, and local pastries. These are not just tastings, but small windows into the culture, and seeing you engage with them so openly was a real pleasure. Hearing that this was the best part of your trip to Italy is something I don’t take lightly. It’s exactly why I do what I do. If Turin ever calls you again, I would love to welcome you back: there are always more stories, flavors, and hidden corners waiting. With sincere thanks. All my very best, Cecilia ✨
