Great tour through two wonderful neighborhoods!

Our guide, Andre, was very knowledgeable and gave us the history of the neighborhoods. We tasted delicious dim sum among other yummy Chinese and Italian cuisine. It was fun enjoying meals with our small group. Overall, we highly recommend this tour!

Tasting Tour was so much fun!

Andre was our guide and he was THE BEST! He told us great history and stories about both Chinatown and North Beach (Little Italy.). He was great about being efficient and keeping everyone on track without mashing us feel rushed. We had several food stops, trying a great variety of interesting foods, and left feeling completely stuffed. Andre was so kind to all of the local street musicians and the unhoused, knowing many of them by name, taking care of them as we went along. Andre also knew many of the restaurant and shop owners along the walk, even if we were not stopping at those establishments. Andre was energetic and fun, the food was great, and we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Delicious and fun!

Andre was an amazing tour guide! We spent 4+ hours with him walking through Chinatown and North Beach hearing about the history of the city and its inhabitants. Andre seemed to know all the shopkeepers and restaurant owners. We ate SO MUCH. food! We made several stops in each neighborhood, trying dumplings, soups, teas, pizzas, gelato, cannolis... Don't plan on going out to dinner that night like we did!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It means a lot that you chose to spend more than four hours exploring Chinatown and North Beach with us. I’m especially happy to hear that Andre made such a great impression. He truly loves these neighborhoods, and the relationships he’s built with the shopkeepers and restaurant owners help make the tour feel like you’re experiencing San Francisco with a local friend. It also made me smile to read that you “ate SO MUCH food!” We definitely want our guests to leave full, happy, and with a deeper appreciation for the history, culture, and flavors that make these neighborhoods so special. Your dinner plans gave me a laugh—we hear that more often than you might think! Thank you again for joining us and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back the next time you’re in San Francisco!

Lovely afternoon of food and fun!

We had a lovely time. Delightful tour guide Andre, and met some terrific and friendly folks. Eat a lot of realy great food, GO HUNGRY! My favorites things were all the murals, the sandwiches from "Molinari's", the tea shop"Ital Tealeaf" and the final cannoli. Sorry, I lost track of where is was, but it was a lot of walking, places, stories and food. I was tired, but full happy and happy. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a lovely afternoon with Andre. He has a special way of bringing the neighborhoods to life while making everyone feel welcome, so I’m glad you enjoyed both his company and the friendly group. It sounds like you discovered some of our favorite highlights—from the incredible murals and the famous Molinari’s sandwiches to the tea tasting at Vital Tea Leaf and, of course, finishing with a delicious cannoli. That’s exactly the kind of experience we hope every guest has! You’re absolutely right about one thing—coming hungry is definitely the best strategy! There’s a lot to see, learn, and taste, and by the end of the tour most guests are happily full with plenty of great memories. Thank you again for spending part of your day with us and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back the next time you’re in San Francisco!

More than a food tour

We thought four hours would be too long but this included both the food stops, and stops at non food places which gave us insight into local history. Our guide, Cynthia, was great. She truly cared about our experience and made sure that each stop was well organized and enriching.
