This place is amazing! So many cool things for our older and younger kiddos. Tricky when it’s crowded. There were activities that we would have really explored but there were so many other children it was hard to finish a project. We were there with two busloads of kids so when we saw that outside we knew it would be crowded. It’s tricky to navigate through the museum when it’s that crowded. All in all we would go back in a heartbeat!
Lots of interactive things to do and water play outside. The staff was marvelous.
We took our granddaughter there for her birthday. She was very excited and enjoyed the hands on experience!
it has free admission on every Thursday 5-8pm, but need to line up for entrance, you can get a first time visit sticker if you visited for 1st time. Although it's free at that time period, yet you have to book the free tickets in advance, I am not sure if it is available if you walk-in. The things inside are similar to other children museum, there is area of playing water, something about physics, chemistry, animal, etc. interactive things for kids to play, I think kids aged 12 or below will enjoy it very much
Versatile events/topics!! ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW…. Culturally individualized…. The staff appears to flow/communicate for an effective and structured stage!!
We visited the Houston Children’s Museum and both kids and adults had a great time. The kids did the “Spy Adventure” and they loved it.
Plan to be there all day! I thought we would be in and out in an hour or so but there was SO MUCH to do. Both my kids (5 & 7) were thoroughly entertained with everything they had. They had everything for kids: Climbing, dancing, legos, video games, science demos, animals, water play. It was great to pay for admission and not need to buy anything else, just explore all three floors and the many things for kids of all ages.
Plan on staying for a while. We were there 4 hours and our son had a blast ! We look forward to going again soon.
Excellent diverse activities that engage children of all ages (even adults). So much to see and do both indoors and outdoors you can easily spend a day here with plenty of active and quiet spaces to break up your day. There's a separate space for toddlers to safely explore. Suggest bringing a backpack with snacks to picnic outdoors on the shaded porch in the enclosed courtyard that features a playground, water play, and nature areas. Everyone was having so much fun that they didn't notice they were learning.
Family Fun! Every corner was something new and fun for my children to be involved in. They loved Kidtropolis the most. Most definitely worth the visit. Can’t wait to come back so we can stay a little longer.
