Itinerary
Picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai's Old Town/Nimman area and then direct to Chiang Rai. After transportation, around 50 minutes, you will arrive at Mae Khachan Hotspring.
One of the few natural hot springs in northern Thailand, the Mae Kachan Hot Spring (Mae Ka Chan is so hot—reaching temperatures of 194˚F (90˚C—it can boil an egg in minutes, a feat that locals are more than happy to demonstrate. The hot springs are too hot for bathing. You can only dip your feet briefly.
Wat Rong Khun, perhaps better known to foreigners as the White Temple, is a privately owned art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. It is owned by Chalermchai Kositpipat, who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997.

(If select) Baan Dam Museum, also known to foreigners as the Black House Museum, is a mixture of traditional northern Thai buildings with unconventional and contemporary architecture, created by Thawan Duchanee.
(If select)Discover Wat Huay Pla Kang, home to a towering Guan Yin statue, a vivid red pagoda, and elegant temple halls. Ride the elevator inside the statue, admire intricate details, and take in panoramic views over Chiang Rai’s surrounding countryside.
Way back to Chiang Mai. It will take around 3 hours 20:30pm-21:00pm. You will arrive in Chiang Mai, and reach your hotel safely.
Optional visit to the Karen Long-neck tribe(admission fee 300 THB/PAX). A tribal village whose women wear stacked brass rings on their necks & sell handmade crafts. For those who do not visit Karen Long-neck Village, the tour guide will ask you to wait for others for around 1 hour. You can spend your time at the nearby market.

- For visiting the Wat Rong Khun Temple, You must honor the place by dressing in a casual dress code (or better). No flipper shoes (sneakers, sports shoes, or cut shoes are OK), No tank top (T-Shirt is OK), No short pants (long pair of jeans is OK)
- You can choose to finish the program at Central Plaza at Chiang Rai to stay there, but your bag should be small
- Please note that Chiang Rai is far from Chiang Mai, so this trip involves a long drive in the minivan. The trip duration can reach a maximum of 13-14 hours, depending on the traffic along the way and the road conditions.
- This is a joint tour, the operator will be picking up each guest in order, so please kindly wait patiently at your hotel. If waiting for too long, please contact the operator immediately
- In any case, if your booking isn't matched with reality when you show upfront (such as child's age, child's height, the number of people and etc), you are responsible to pay the additional charge upfront for the tour
- On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel a tour, we will inform you in advance and offer a different tour date, an alternative tour or provide a full refund
- For those who do not visit Karen Long-neck Village, the tour guide will ask you to wait for others around 1 hour. You can spend your time at the near by market.

They did not take us to the Black House or the Red Temple; it was a very long trip to visit only two temples. The vehicle was not comfortable at all; it is a journey of more than 3 hours, and you end up very tired at night. The driver drove terribly.

Our tour guide was the BEST! We loved the tour. One thing though — we would have loved more time at the White Temple because it is pretty big, and 45 minutes wasn’t quite enough time to explore everything. Other than that, we absolutely loved the full-day trip. This is a MUST-do!

We took this trip for one day from Chiang Mai to visit the temples from Chiang Rai. The temples are very beautiful and the guide's english was very good. I truly recommend the tour.

Great transportation, the tour guide woman gave us good history, kept us on time, and worth the money and time. The lunch was delicious and you can eat as much as you can. The coconut chicken soup outstanding. The temples are beautiful and we will be back . The trip was for educational purposes and we will bring our students next time.

The experience includes a visit to the White Temple, Blue Temple, and Black House museum. Departures from hotels take place early in the morning , around 7 am . A minivan collects all the tourists of the various hotels and after about an hour and a half you stop for a half-hour pit stop at the long neck Village. Demonstration village where you can find local tribes in traditional clothes. In our case the entrance fee was not included in the Tour. It costs 300 THB per person .( nothing exciting and in my opinion avoidable ) After the stop, continue for another hour and a half and then reach the White Temple. A half hour will be enough to visit the temple and the surrounding area. From the meeting point we moved with a short walk to a place where they served buffet lunch included in the price. ( don't have high expectations , but if you are not too picky you will be able to eat the right ) After the break , about twenty minutes by minivan , you reach the Blue Temple . It will take about twenty minutes to visit everything. Finally , as a last stop , we will stop at the black house museum ( museum and former home of a very famous Thai artist surrounded by a park ) , personally and unexpectedly the part I liked the most . Afterwards , we leave for return to the city with a journey lasting about 3 h . Personally , given the long and tiring journey and the length of visits to the respective places , I can say that I had better experiences during my stay in Thailand . However , there are still two particular times , suggestive and therefore worth visiting . reckless
