207 Km. drive from the middle of Chiang Mai city to Baan Dam (Black House) is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee. Part art studio, part museum, part home, Baan Dam is an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs. Baan Dam is a thought-provoking combination of sanuk, the surreal and the sombre and whilst it’s fair to say that some of the artwork and themes on display won’t be to everybody’s liking, I’d still recommend checking out the Black House if you are visiting Chiang Rai Total driving round trip on the road 6 hours ** Note: Distance between Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai 189 km. take around 6-7 hours long drive

Admission included50 min

Rong Khun Temple is unique from other temples in that it has been constructed entirely in a radiant white color with sparking reflections from mirrored glass mosaics embedded in the white plaster. The temple is the idea of Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat, one of Thailand most renowned artists, who wanted to build a temple all in white to signify the purity of Lord Buddha. The artist continues to puts his religious belief and desire to enrich Buddhism in Thailand into his contemporary art design.

The Golden Triangle is the area where the borders of Thailand, overview Laos, and Myanmar meet at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong rivers. The name "Golden Triangle"coined by the CIA is commonly used more broadly to refer to an area of approximately 950,000 square kilometres (367,000 sq mi) that overlaps the mountains of the three adjacent countries. Along with Afghanistan in the Golden Crescent, it has been one of the most extensive opium-producing areas of Asia, and of the world, since the 1950s. Most of the world's heroin came from the Golden Triangle until the early 21st century when Afghanistan became the world's largest producer

Chiang Rai Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten is located in Rong Suea Ten in the district of Rimkok a few kilometers outside Chiang Rai. It is a recent temple which is still under construction even if its main hall is now completed. It is above all its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha that marks the spirits. The paintings are reminiscent of the style of what you can see inside the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). The great standing Buddha, also white, standing in front of the back, is also superb. Between the White Temple, the Black House and the Blue Temple, Chiang Rai is definitely the city of colorful temples!

Admission included40 min

Karen Long Neck Visiting one of the numerous Karen Long Neck villages in Thailand is one of the most exotic experiences on the planet. The mystery and beauty that sound the tradition of using brass rings for exaggerated jewelry is something better seen in person than in a book. We had ethical questions on if it these hill tribe villages would feel like human zoos, but thankfully we decided to visit anyway. It is a real-life National Geographic Magazine experience to have to see to believe.

Long day of driving

Was a good tour, but a very long day, the tour does say 13 hours but it was longer and you only really get a small taste of each place. The majority of the day is spent in the bus. The temples are spectacular to see though.

Thank you for your feedback and good suggestions. We will improve to provide better service. With best regards, Operation Manager,

Was a great opportunity to see the temples and the Golden triangle, get in a refreshing boat ride, and learn about the Karen tribes- I had a really nice experience. The guide Nomi was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. Was a long day and worth every minute!

White Temple and Golden Triangle tour

This was a loooong day. Picked up at 7am, dropped off at 10pm. The white temple was beautiful and the Golden Triangle and Maekong River boat ride were a unique, enjoyable experience. They could have eliminated the visit to the Baan Dam museum and shortened the trip.

Great trip to Beautiful sights in Northern Thailand.

A great trip - a long day but worth it as you see so much of northern Thailand. Lots of different, varied places of interest. Get to dip feet in the hot springs, the Long Neck Tribe and other peoples were beautiful. The temples stunning - loved the white temple as so different contrasting with the more traditional blue templ, and the black house area with the art work interesting. And finally the golden triangle and boat trip along the Mekong River. A long way but the guide and driver were great. Loved it all and would recommend.

If you have limited time and want to see a lot in one day

This tour was long any may be worth it if you have a short amount of time in Chiang Mai and want to see several different sights but lower your expectations. Everything is just a tourist trap now. The worst being the Karen Village. It is not authentic. It is just a market with mass produced souvenirs. That is, it is a new settlement formed by some organization a few months back. While maybe well intentioned, it felt like a human zoo. Honestly, this tour would be better if they removed the Karen "Village" visit.

Amazing, Friendly, Nice

We had a great tour, everything was arranged as mentioned in the details, our guide and driver were both very nice and friendly. The tour is around 10 people which is great as you can connect with more people but still have the feeling of an exclusive tour. The temples were all beautiful and show the history of chiang rai in the most beautiful way. We had a great lunch (included in the tour). It is a big tour (around 15hrs) so be prepared to be exhausted in the end of the day. Also, the amount of time you can be in each attraction is limited as you have a lot to do, which can make you be a bit in a rush to visit but is the only way that you get to see everything, so for us worked quite well and we took the most out of each one. Supper recommend this tour to anyone that would like to go on a day trip to chiang rai!

What a great trip! My only addition would have been more time to take photos around the region of The Golden Triangle, but everything else was perfect. Our tour guide was funny, sweet, responsible, attentive, helpful and informative, I couldn't recommend her enough, she's a superstar! The trip was fun, a long day packed to the brim with activities and adventue
