Relax at Mae Khachan Hot Spring. The place is located along the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. This is a famous pit stop where you can soak your feet in hot pools or boil some eggs in the natural hot springs.
Known as the "White Temple", Wat Rong Khun is an art exhibition in the form of a Buddhism temple. The temple was designed by a very famous Thai artist Mr.Chalermchai Kositpipat. You can take photos with stunning sculptures depicting Buddhist beliefs. You will have lunch at a local restaurant near by the temple.
Wat Rong Seur Ten, also called Blue Temple was designed by Phutha Kabkaew in contemporary art fashion. With the blue and gold color theme, vivid wall paintings, and stunningly beautiful sculptures, Wat Rong Seur Ten is one of the most famous places in Chiang Rai.
Also known as the "Black House Museum" or "Black Temple", Baan Dam Museum was designed by a famous Thai artist "Thawan Duchanee". The place was created in an unconventional Nothern Thai style architecture decorated by uniquely beautiful wood carving.
Meet the Long Neck Karen Tribe at the Long Neck Karen Village. You will get in touch with these wonderful ladies who are wearing many brass rings on their necks that make them look amazingly beautiful.
The joint border of 3 countries; Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, the Golden Triangle is another favorite tourist place. You will join a boat ride along the renowned Mekong River.

The trip is quite lengthy. The mini van was packed and not comfortable. The guide was just saying that we arrived at the point of “ABC” and couple of more sentences, otherwise it was always free time to explore. I was expecting more information about the objects and places from the guide. As now it looked like the expensive driver hired for a day. Also the hot spring place is just two big wells without possibility to soak your legs. The Karen village is sad view as well, it is not educational. It is like a human zoo with sales goods from China :(

Andy was a great tour guide. He took amazing photos of myself and people in my group. I highly recommend this tour as it covers so many areas it is a long tour since you are going to the golden triangle, but it is worth it. I would do this trip all over again!!

Very long day but there was lots to see. The White Temple was a highlight! It was also quite hot, so eating ice cream was a hit. Our guide and driver were very nice, punctual and organized. That said, our guide’s English was limited and our driver was a bit fast/reckless on our return to Chiang Mai. We left at 7am and returned at 9:30pm. Absolutely great (but exhausting) day.

Most of the stops were interesting. It’s a shame the guide didn’t provide more information. The whole day was let down by extremely erratic dangerous driving at high speeds and overtaking multiple cars on blind corners. After three passengers decided they couldn’t risk continuing with this driver and caught a Grab home for the last 90 minutes of the drive, we asked the driver to be more cautious and thankfully he did. A long day which could have been made more enjoyable with a friendlier and bubblier guide and safer driver. Only one bottle of water offered for the entire 14 hr trip.

During the tour, three guests chose to consume beer on the vehicle, and when the tour guide politely asked them to stop, they decided to continue their journey back to Chiang Mai by Grab instead, as they wished to keep drinking until arrival. This decision was made by the guests themselves. That said, we truly value your feedback and are committed to making meaningful improvements to ensure future guests enjoy a safer, more informative, and more pleasant experience. Of the excursions between Chiang Mai and Bangkok this was the best of them...A day full of admiring wonderful places! Note 10 to the White Temple and the Golden Triangle...if you like crochet this is the best place to buy the bags and hats...lindos!!! Our APPLE guide is adorable...her kindness, her explanations...she was 10! I just found the lunch bad...note zero! Very bad...Better leave it free or get a better place!

Overall we don't think this tour is worth it. We spent A LOT of time on the road (understandably since we left from Chiang Mai to get all the way to Chiang Rai), but weren't rewarded for it really. The white temple and black house are quite unimpressive in person, they're just buildings rich people created with no deeper meaning. Especially the black house was very dull to visit. The golden triangle is interesting only for the fun fact that you can see coasts of three countries, but at the same time there's nothing of essence there. The Karen village is just a tourist market basically. On top of that, the van used didn't have comfortable seats, especially mine was so narrow I had to sit sideways for my legs to fit, and I'm barely 5'11. That was very unpleasant when you are spending 7h in said van. Our guide was very nice and tried to give us a lot of information, but that was the only nice thing from the tour. Sadly, 100% would NOT recommend.

This was a long day out and was way too rushed. The white temple was very very crowded and we had 45 minutes there so did not get to see all that we wanted to. The black museum we felt was unnecessary and the time allocated would be better used at the white temple. The boat trip was pleasant but you went up and down the river and everyone looked very underwhelmed. The journey back was 3.5 hrs and we were shattered. Not a trip we would recommend I’m sorry to say

A very full (but long) day giving a great whistle stop tour of the Chiang Mai. Area. We enjoyed the White and Blue Temples, the Karen Tribe and the river trip despite appalling weather the whole day, I imagine it would be wonderful on a beautiful day. Lunch was good and our driver felt very safe. Considering what we paid we felt we had very good value.

This tour is a long day, but it is definitely worth it! Temples are definitely worth a visit and if you ask questions, you can learn a lot. It is also interesting to visit the Golden Triangle and learn more about the challenges of this area where three countries meet only separated by water.
