The date of Chiang Mai CAD Sky Lantern Festival is 2026 Nov.24 and Nov. 25. 【Schedule】 13:00: Free shuttle departs from the meeting point. 14:30 - 17:30: Arrive at the venue, register your ticket at the entrance, and enjoy local performances. 17:30 - 19:00: Enjoy a Thai buffet dinner. 19:00: Enter the seating area; the ceremony begins. 20:15: Launch sky lanterns together and watch the fireworks display. 20:45: Ceremony ends; depart from the venue to Chiangmai (drop-off point). ○ Note that Viator Booking voucher is not entrance ticket. Please message us your email address so that we can send your ticket link. ○ Clink the ticket link in your email, check details of date and name on the e-ticket. ○ We suggest that you take a screenshot of the e-ticket with the QR code in the ticket link and save it on your phone, or print it out and carry it with you. This will enable you to quickly present the ticket to the staff for verification and identity check.

【Don’t Miss Fun Activities at the Venue】 ○ Explore the cultural village, enjoy traditional lanna dances, browse handicraft markets, or try a DIY workshop. ○ Relax on a haystack while listening to live music. ○ Visit the loy krathong area to float a free loy krathong and make wish. You can also light an oil lamp at that small mound to pray for blessings. 【Dinner zone Tips】 ○ The buffet opens around 5 PM and runs for about 2 hours. ○ Use your paper ticket to enter the right food zone. If you arrive a bit later, please walk inside the dining area and look for the food. 【Sky Lantern Ceremony Pagoda Zone】 ○ After dinner, follow your seat assignment to the pagoda zone. Two sky lanterns are placed on each seat. ○ Enjoy the performance, recite scriptures and meditate. Follow the instructions of the host to release sky lanterns together, creating a grand spectacle of tens of thousands of sky lanterns.

Pickup point/Boarding location: For Elite and Platinum tickets — In front of MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center (near Rin Kham Intersection, Nimmanhaemin Road) . For Gold, Premium, VIP, and Standard tickets — Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (near the 700th Anniversary Stadium). You can check your ticket link for updates. The official shuttle arrangements made by the organizer will be at the pick-up and drop-off points for the gathering and the disbanding. You need to arrange your own transportation from/to your hotel. 【Getting to the Official Meeting Point】 ○ Arrange your own transportation to meeting point. Plan to arrive at the meeting point 30–60 minutes early. Your ticket link shows a Google Maps location for the meeting point. ○ Traffic gets heavy during the festival. If you’re taking a taxi, confirm the destination with the driver. ○ Pack snacks, water, and maybe a hat or umbrella—shuttle waiting times can be unpredictable!
