Later take a break to purchase lunch at a local restaurant.

The tranquil, flowery grounds of the Ramakrishna Math are a world away from Chennai chaos. Orange-robed monks glide around and there’s a reverential feel. The Math is a monastic order following the teachings of the 19th-century sage Sri Ramakrishna, who preached the essential unity of all religions. Its Universal Temple is a handsome, modern, salmon-pink building incorporating architectural elements from different religions, and is open to all, to worship, pray or meditate. Private tour of Chennai

6 of us did this tour. The guide was excellent and took us to the main sights in Chennai. The Hindu temple was amazing and the churches very impressive. We also went to Fort Kochi which was interesting. We went to a lovely hotel restaurant for lunch which was a welcome break from the heat. All in all a good tour
