Had an absolutely amazing experience on today’s walking tour.

Manju Priya was more than just a guide; she felt like a friend. The tour was brilliantly curated, offering deep insights into both the history and the daily life of Chennai. By the end of the two hours, I felt less like a tourist and more like a part of the city itself. Highly recommended as the cost and experience provided are both worth it .

The tour was cancelled

The guide did not show up so the tour did not take place. Yo Tours did not respond to whatsapp, phone or email. We were there for nothing.

Guide didn't turn up

What a waste of our time as the guide did not show up or even tried any communication. We waited for 30 mins before we realise it was a scam. Thanks to YO tours for spoiling it for us.

Don’t go with this tour operator

We went there and waited and guide didn’t turn up. We sent messages to the operator and no response. The government guides at the temple said this is a common problem I would like it my money back. we spent a lot of time waiting for a guide that never showed. I know we booked last minute, but you did confirm the tour. No apology and no communication

Guide didn't show up

Unfortunately, our tourist guide didn't show up so I can't recommend this tour option. We waited around 40 minutes for them and then the agency called saying the guide tried to call, which is not true. I will delete this post if a good explanation is given to me, as well as the refund.

Top notch walking tour

Riyaz was a fabulous guide and delivered the history of religious buildings with great detail and knowledge of facts. He walked us through areas we would never have found. Recommend tour to understand religions within India.

extremely disappointing experience

The walk was an extremely disappointing experience. There were just 2 of us. It seemed to have been outsourced further (you can check your records. as i dont know) The young man(guide) was punctual, polite but did not have knowledge of the places we were going to. he only served to read the google map and go place to place. e.g. didnt know when the santhome church was made/what some of the temple deities represented. Trip advisor should have cancelled the walk if there werent enough people/ we have done many viator aggregated walks in india and abroad but never had this kind of experience. I hope trip advisor refunds the fees charged.

Fantastic city walking tour in Chennai

Our tour around Chennai was fantastic, Miracle was very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited lots of sites and landmarks including a beautiful temple, where we learnt a lot about the history and the meaning. We recommend this tour as a good way to see and get to know the city. The length of the tour was just right and we didn’t feel too tired afterward.

Properly informative and immensely reverent

The cultural tour was a great way to get to know the City of Chennai better from a personal level. We went on this tour immediately after landing in India to better understand the cultural perspective before beginning the rest of our trip. Culturally, you must not wear shoes or socks in the temple and are limited as to where and what you can take photos of. While it is all very inspiring and beautiful, out of an abundance of respect, follow those 2 rules. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient in his explanations of Hindu to a couple of novice travelers. Later, we visited the Catholic Basilica, the Tomb of Saint Thomas the Apostle. Yes, that St. Thomas, the OG. Here too, you need to be respectful of the culture and only take photos where allowed. Overall, each location we visited and learned about are extremely important places in Catholic and Hindu faiths, and the guide was immensely respectful of these places and gave proper reverence that each holy place commanded.
