We did the private tour of Chapala and Ajijic and absolutely loved it. The scenery was stunning, the towns were full of charm, and the whole day flowed effortlessly thanks to our guide, Diego. From the moment we met, he was friendly, welcoming, and full of knowledge. The day kicked off with a delicious birria breakfast and just kept getting better — local snacks by the lake, colorful markets, and a tasty lunch at a spot only a local would know. Diego was easy to chat with, answered every question we threw at him, and really made us feel like we were getting the insider’s experience. We had fun exploring Chapala and Ajijic. Diego picked us up on time for our short drive. Walking along the malecon gave us a great view of the lake and its surroundings. The cobblestone lanes, narrow roads and colorful homes gave the area an old town feel. We had a few snacks and a nice lunch and picked up some local crafts. Diego was super attentive and knowledgeable of Guadalajara and the areas around it. We would hire Diego again to take us on a different tour.
