Swayambhunath Stupa, commonly known as the Monkey Temple, is one of the most iconic and ancient religious sites in Nepal. Perched atop a hill in western Kathmandu, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a 360-degree view of Kathmandu Valley and is revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. Dating back over 2,500 years, the central stupa features a brilliant white dome topped with a gilded spire, upon which the all-seeing eyes of Buddha gaze out in four directions. The site is adorned with prayer flags, spinning wheels, and smaller shrines and temples, reflecting a rich blend of Vajrayana Buddhist and Hindu architectural influences. For group/shared tours, pickup is scheduled before the fixed 9:00 AM departure and may involve a short waiting time due to multiple stops. For private and all-inclusive options, flexible start times between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM are available, and your guide or driver will arrive 15 minutes before your selected time. Please provide your hotel name or exact location when booking. If your hotel is not directly accessible by vehicle, a nearby pickup point will be arranged. You will be contacted via WhatsApp, phone, or email to confirm pickup details.

Amazing private tour with our driver and Guide Sajina Banjara. Sajina waa an awesome guide. She connected with us a few days before to confirm hotel pick up and itinerary. She also arranged a larger vehicle to make the tour more comfortable for our group of 4. They arrived early for pick up. Sajina shared some amazing knowledge about Nepal history and culture, as well as Kathmandu sights. The Chandragiri Cable ride was spectacular, amazing scenery from the top. The Monkey temple visit provided more great scenery and insights into Buddhist culture.

We had an amazing private tour with a driver and our guide Sajina. We visited Chandragiri Cable Car and Monkey Temple. She communicated in advance to confirm hotel pick up and itinerary. She also arranged for a larger vehicle to provide more space for our group of 4. She provided many insights into the history and culture of Nepal and the Kathmandu sights. The best tour we had in Kathmandu. Our tour guide, Poonam, was the best. She was very knowledgeable about almost everything. Explained everything we see from the cable car ride till the monkey temple. She takes great pictures too. I will probably do another tour with her. Kudos to the driver who drove us safely to our destination.
