Itinerary
Start at 8:00 am. From Chachapoyas, you travel for about 2 hours and 15 minutes along a scenic road to San Bartolo. From the village of San Bartolo, you walk more or less horizontally for half an hour towards the viewpoint over the Mausoleums of Revash. These mausoleums are located in a huge rocky mountain wall and consist of several small houses with pitched roof tops. Its polychrome walls protect important and powerful figures from the Chachapoyas culture.
After Revash, you will visit the interesting Museum of Leymebamba, which has lots of information about the several cultures that have lived in the Chachapoyas area. The museum shows a great collection with more than 1000 objects, including 219 mummies that were partly found in Laguna de los Condors. The collection also includes old ceramics, carvings, and weapons. After your visit to the museum, we return to Chachapoyas around 6 p.m..
