Itinerary

20 min

Visit the historic Trinity Church on MG Road, an architectural gem from the British colonial era. Built in 1851 by the East India Company for the British Regiment in Bangalore, this church even had Winston Churchill among its visitors. Its Gothic-style structure and calm interiors continue to draw people from all walks of life.

30 min

A serene spiritual center nestled amidst lush gardens and housed in a stately bungalow built in 1905, this ashram serves as a hub for meditation and learning, embodying the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. The peaceful setting offers a quiet moment of reflection in the heart of the city.

30 min

Explore the magnificent Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, a Sikh temple built entirely of gleaming white marble. The Gurudwara radiates peace and equality, with a vibrant community kitchen that welcomes all. Rooted in Sikhism’s core belief of one universal creator and selfless service, it embodies harmony, humility, and shared humanity.

20 min

A bustling, village-like bazaar where faith and daily life intertwine. Amid narrow lanes, old homes, and spice-laden stalls, the air carries the rhythm of devotion from nearby shrines and ashrams. It’s a living expression of Halasuru’s spiritual heritage, where community and tradition thrive side by side.

20 min

A tranquil sanctuary in Bangalore and part of a worldwide spiritual movement devoted to harmony among all faiths and cultures. Its serene temple, lotus pond, and quiet courtyards embody a timeless philosophy that once echoed on the world stage through voices of universal harmony — inspiring unity, selfless service, and inner awakening.

20 min

One of Bangalore’s most unique shrines, this temple to Goddess Kali stands within one of the city’s oldest graveyards. Here, devotion takes on a deeper, mystical form — where priests perform ancient rituals to remove evil eyes, and the fragrance of camphor and flowers mingles with chants that promise protection, courage, and spiritual renewal.

Explore Central Bangalore - a wonderful experience

A wonderful experience, well-curated and expertly guided. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you are keen to see the architectural designs, and want to get a deep understanding of Bangalore’s cultural roots. It’s incredible how much architectural brilliance and cultural charm surrounds us, hidden in plain sight as we go about our daily lives. Deepti led our Central Bangalore heritage walk on 19th December, and it was an absolute delight. She brought the city’s history to life with fascinating stories, remarkable architectural insights. Her knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm made the 2.5-hour tour engaging and truly memorable for our group. Thank you, Yours Truly India, for a brilliant journey through time in the heart of Bangalore - G-P Bangalore
