10 out of 10. This site's are off the beaten path. Peaceful and less touristy. Loved the distillery stop. I would recommend to anyone

Overall, we had a wonderful tour with Alec. He was a great and enthusiastic guide from start to finish. The views of the Irish countryside were beautiful and the small towns and castles were lovely. Our lunch stop was excellent. The distillery owner gave an informative and humorous history of Poitin in the countryside. Our stop in Fore Valley was nice, the people were welcoming and friendly. We’d suggest the guides be aware of the daily weather. It was a hot day and shade was limited until the pub opened. Otherwise, great trip!
Thank you for your fantastic feedback! We're delighted you enjoyed your experience with Irish Day Tours and hope to see you again in the future.
We’ve been to Dublin multiple times, so we’re looking for a different sort of experience. The price for a full day was very reasonable, the guide (Michael) was entertaining and knowledgeable and the day we went was a rare sunny one. If you listen to sleep stories by Calm, the places are described in one called The Emerald Isle. It’s Ireland’s ancient history and the settings are on hills you have to climb. I don’t think I could have done it in the rain, but others have.

Rory, our guide, was not just knowledgeable and engaging, he was wonderfully hillarious. His humor made the entire trip fun and entertaining as well as relaxing and informative. Tara was very neat, as was Trim Castle, the climb to the Loughcrew cairns was a fun workout. the Fore Abbey was neat to see and the Fore whisky tasting was fun. A great tour.

If you’re staying in Dublin and don’t plan on heading across the country to the west coast this is the tour to take to get a taste of Ireland’s history. Loved Trim Castle and the Abbey ruins. The bus was very clean and comfortable. And the lunch stop was surprisingly delicious! As an added bonus our guide Colin was very pleasant and had answers to all our questions. Book it!

There was so much packed into this tour: neolithic sites from 5,000 B.C., sacred Celtic gathering places, an 850-year-old castle, an atmospheric medieval abbey, and even a whiskey demonstration! Yet we had time to do it all somehow, even with a relaxing sit-down lunch in a lovely village. Our guide Mick's enthusiasm for Irish history made this tour unforgettable.
