Alan and Salvador did a great job explaining the history and culture of the people and areas. The Coyoacán portion of the tour was very interesting. We didn't get to do the Frida Kahlo tour (since we didn't buy tickets in advance), however went to the Leon Trotsky museum instead and it was also interesting. The time at the university was extremely informative and eye opening. It would have been nice to spend a little more time at the university, maybe at the Olympic stadium. Then the long drive to Xochimilco, and boat (trajineras) ride in the canal, which was fun (bring pesos for food, drink, mariachi).
Dear Rob, Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to know that Alan and Salvador provided such a professional and outstanding service. We will gladly share your recognition with them. your suggestions will help us improve our service. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Trekzy
I was somewhat sceptical after reading some reviews, but overall I thought it was quite good, despite the large number in the group (hence the low fees). The lunch spot was well chosen, although I didn’t opt for the Buffett - it looks pretty good. If I could suggest one thing - it would be having the accurate plan published online (it was inconsistent with what the guides said/eventually happened on the day).
Thank you for sharing your perspective. We appreciate your balanced feedback and are glad the overall experience met your expectations. Your observations are very valuable to us, and we will take them into account to improve communication. Best Regards from the quality team of Trekzy
Victor and Gerson were amazing tour guides! Gerson did an amazing job speaking English and Spanish since we had a mixed group. He was funny, personable, and so knowledgeable about the sites we went to. My husband and I went with our other couple friend and we had a blast! We did the Xochimilco with the Frida House tour but it was so much more. Gerson took us to a famous jewelry store before Xochimilco, and then we did stop at the famous university after. 10/10 recommend booking, such a fun time and iconic CDMX experience
Dear nikolem245, Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another great adventure in CDMX! Best Regards from Trekzy
Excellent experience, the tour guide Gerson gave us the most wonderful commentary that was informative and entertaining. The trips to Xochimilco and the Frida Kahlo Museum were fantastic. A great day with a multitude of Mexican history and culture to experience.
Dear dereklC2242GW Thank you for your wonderful feedback! Best Regards from Trekzy
I like the tour guide Gerson who is energetic and humorous. The trip to Frida museum is very interesting. Only thing is I wish they can indicate how many people are going. This is a bigger group with 40+ people. I would love to join small groups instead. Overall I still appreciate the tour and the service.
Dear ShanghaiVan, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the visit and had a lively and enjoyable experience. Best Regards from Trekzy
While other boats were there to party or sing karaoke, this is one of the only functioning chinampas the Spanish did not destroy when Cuautemoc resisted Cortés through a 93 day siege. They don't go into a ton of detail but you can always open chat gpt or Google Gemini and ask questions and it'll be your your I guide. Really incredible site that IMHO is under utilized for the incredible historic value. People still use these reclaimed earth, Mexica engineering marvels to farm to this day.
Dear Victor_S, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your tour. We’d be happy to welcome you on another adventure soon! Best Regards from Trekzy
It was okay. Seems like it was more of a tour to take you places to buy stuff. It starts off going to a jeweler named Rafael, he does a nice demonstration and then releases you to purchase stuff. Ok. Then off to the University to see the murals, just three though. Then off to the boat ride which really was the highlight. Commerce on the water, mariachis jumping from boat to boat, Food peddlers on their little canoes alongside offering margaritas and other drinks. This would actually be a better time for the "optional lunch", on the boat. But, no. On to Coroavan and the Frida museum. This is where "lunch" occurs, I would not recommend the optional lunch, its buffet style, not very warm, and not very good. There are tons of real mexican food restaurants in the area, just look on Google maps for a high rated one. Most of the tour time was spent on the bus, and it was a packed bus, not a spare seat (40+) on our tour. There were two guides, one for spanish and one for english. Guide knowledge was very good and informative, perhaps the best part of this tour. If they split the languages into separate buses, it would greatly improve this tour. I would suggest skipping this, there are a ton of other much better tours like the Pyramids and Basilica Guadalupe ones
