We had an amazing trip to belize with the VIP experience cave kayaking and ziplining through the jungle. Our guide was Kadine and Abner was our driver and guide for part of the trip. Kadine went above and beyond giving us culture and history throughout the whole trip! We got to see howler monkeys, native birds, leaf cutter ants and a snake. We also saw the most gorgeous flora and fauna on our hike through the jungle. The food was delicious and authentic. We made the best choice booking this excursion. Would go back to Belize given the first opportunity. Kadine is a delight of knowledge about the town, the country, history, and native plants.
Awesome, thanks for the review, nice to hear that you enjoyed the tour, thanks for choosing us.
The walk was farther than expected and we had to rent shoes because needing a heel strap wasn’t clearly communicated.
Many things that went wrong with this excursion. Not enough room to say it all. Very disappointed!!!
We were picked up by our tour guide, Abner, just outside of the cruise port. The tour ended up being just the four of us in a van together along with Abner who is extremely knowledgeable about Belize and the history of nearby regions. He's an excellent driver who got us to the excursion safely and was happy to answer all of our questions and successfully guided us through the caves during the kayaking excursion. He waited for us during the Zip-lining portion and then took us back to the cruise port in plenty of time. We had a fabulous time with him and on the adventure in the cave. Zip lining was of the same type we've done before in the USA with a self-braking glove. Their competent operators do all of the clips for you and secure you to the lines. You are wearing the type of harness that makes it comfortable to walk in. Note the Zip line course is pretty hilly so if you have trouble climbing steep tall stairs, steep hilly terrain, or have balance issues, this may not be the ideal tour for you. We loved it though! Unlike the tubing excursions, which involved literally busloads of people all lashed together in a raft and taken down, we were in command of our own kayak craft and our group was only 4 plus Abner. We paddled sit-on-top hard kayaks, so some skill at kayaking is recommended. My friend and his wife flipped in the cave but were quickly rescued by Abner and one of the other operators. Because we were in kayaks we were able to kayak upstream to a new area you can't reach in tubes which was really beautiful.
Amazing tour and guides. The beauty of the caves and the ziplines were incredible. The guides were not only educated but entertaining as well.
The best trip on Belize City. More fun than rafting. there is a guide but you are in charge of your own kayak.
We did the kayaking cave tour and zip lining. Our guide was Abner and he was excellent! He told us all about the area and answered any questions on the drive to the caves. The cave tour was amazing! Our group was relatively small, only 6 people, so it was easy to stay together through the caves. Even the walk to the caves was informative. The zip lining was exciting! We zipped over the jungle and across a river. All the employees were helpful, friendly and did a great job. Because of the time, we had to eat our lunch (barbeque chicken and beans/rice) in the van on the way back to the port, but it was very tasty. I highly recommend this company, and especially Abner!
My husband and I were able to enjoy this tour for a cruise shore excursion. I was a bit worried at first that we wouldn't be back in time since we had to ride a tinder across, giving us from 8:30-4:15. We got back with about an hour to do some shopping at the port. We had some amazing tour guides (Fabulous, Nez, and Fred) who really knew the area, could speak great English, and gave us a lot of interesting facts about Belize on our way to the kayaking and zipline site. There are places to shop at the site that offer better prices than the port. Our tour was small with only 8 people total, and my husband and I were the only ones who chose the ziplining option, so that was a private and amazing experience. We did kayaking first after about a 20-30 min hike through the jungle and rivers. I'm so glad we chose to kayak instead of tube because we got to go upstream to explore more caverns and caves and were completely in control of our excursion. The tubers were all hooked together and guided by a guide down the river. Adventure seekers like me would not be content with that! It helps to know how to kayak, especially in rivers, but for those weaker in kayaking, Fred, Nez, and Fabulous took under their wing and helped them learn or jumped in their double kayak to help. You get to kayak up and down the river to the place where you started your hike. With ziplining, since it was just my husband and I with the guides, we had such a blast! There were 4 lines, with one being super long and going over the river and beautiful scenery. You are in control of your zip, meaning you are the hand brake. I loved this since I've frequently zipped on lines where you zip into a brake that slows you down. Our guides Elmer and Osmond were so great to take pictures for us and take our camera down the line to video some great stuff. We got lunch to go since it was pouring rain, but it was really good and enough to fill you up. Overall, this was the best excursion of my whole cruise, and I'll definitely be coming back to it again and hoping to get our amazing guides again! If you are debating, just do it! You won't regret your decision!
Enjoyed our excursion in Belize exploring the caves by kayak and zip lining!! Our guide and driver, Abner 1 and Abner 2 were great! On our drive to the area Abner#1 shared much about the area, the history, culture and current events! He was very knowledgeable and welcomed questions and offered so much knowledge. Once we arrived Abner #2 (our driver) took us on our kayak tour. He was also great offering plenty of insight to the area and the caves themselves. The only thing that prevents me from giving the tour a five star is it was very crowded with groups of tube tours this made it a little challenging navigating the kayaks. After our kayak tour we went to our zipline adventure. These guides were also great and for me it was my first time. They made us feel safe and comfortable. What a thrill flying through the air! On our way to the caves we were able to order a traditional lunch of rice, beans and chicken for $10 each. This was picked up on our drive back and enjoyed on our way to port. I definitley recommend this excursión and especially Abner #1 & #2!!
The entire experience was fantastic, but the zip lining was the coolest event. We will definitely do this again. Our tour guides of Berry, Abner, and Abner did an outstanding job and we will contact them for our next visit for sure.
