Really great tour guide, informative about the history of Catania and very knowledgeable. However, not the best food tour experience we have been on. We expected to be walking round trying foods in the markets and various cafe’s, but unfortunately we had to walk around in the heat having had no breakfast, and then had one big plate of food at the end. This isn’t like a street food tour we are used to where you walk round and try different foods, also more heavy on the history of Catania as opposed to the food history. Wouldn’t recommend to real foodies like us, but this is no reflection on the tour guide- just the way the tour is ran.
usually on the tour we let you taste the food directly on the tour, but when reservations arrive: 1 does not eat fish, 1 vegan, 1 lactose intolerant, we cannot put the customers' health at risk. Street food is not a restaurant where you can choose what to eat. In addition to the fact that it is 38 degrees and given the great heat we preferred to let you eat the Catanese food directly sitting at the table in the best bar and pastry shop in Catania. if you did not appreciate it I apologize . Thanks
