We were served by "Achraf" - the Moroccan guide and it was beyond our expectation! We were hosted in a home overlooking the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, so the view was magnificent. We learned how to cook two traditional dishes: Chicken with Couscous, and Lamb with Prune. Both were delicious! The portion was huge and we did not finish even half of it. After dinner, we took a stroll along the beach and ended up at the Hassan II Mosque. It was a lovely day and an authentic Moroccan experience.
You have to understand what country you are in and in the situation they are in, the place is very peculiar the market is very dirty but the extraordinary family
Loved Loved Loved this experience. Since we were coming during Ramadan and the start of Eid, we knew we might have a chance to hang out with a guide who was celebrating Iftar in the evening. It was awesome to be with Rafiq and his family. Our three kids got really into the preparation and cooking process. I loved the fact that we could go beyond a regular tourist experience and see life in Casablanca in a totally different way. It was a perfect way to introduce our kids to Moroccan food (which they were much more likely to eat since they made it themselves!) Rafiq was a truly stellar guide, answering so many questions and teaching us about his country and culture. Highly, highly recommend, especially if you have kids!
What a fun experience. Rafak is knowledgeable about the city of Casablance. We first went to the market to pick out vegetables and fruits for our cooking class. In the old city we were able to get henna tattoos and I was able to buy some spices for taking home. At that point we went to a family apartment where we helped prepare vegetable for our tagine and our couscous meal. We also made Moroccan pancakes and mint tea. All were delicious. Rafak made us feel completely comfortable there, I would highly recommend that you take time for this tour.
One of the best culinary experience we had during our travels. Raffy and his family were great host. We learned a lot from going to the market to cooking tagin and couscous. Ines was also a good young hostess. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing experience shopping at the local market, helping to make then eat a fabulous meal, hearing about the history and culture of Casablanca, all while in the company of extraordinary people! 10 out of 5 stars!
We prepared delicious food with kind people. The experience did include a bit of walking and a guided tour of new and old Casa Blanca, where we gathered the food as a group. Very enjoyable
The entire family cooking experience was wonderful. Our tour guide was very informative from the beginning to the end.
This was a fantastic experience in Casablana, We have learnt a lot about the Moroccan cuisine, now My family and I can enjoy tagines n our home country ! What I liked most about this experience is that we had the chance to the market to buy all ingredients We need.... also I enjoyed learning about the art of Henna. and the outfit they gave us at the end is super cool and relaxing I will be wearing all day long in sunny days when I get back home in. I 100% recommend this tour.
