Itinerary
This beach is located on the Cameo Island, which is located in the opposite area of Agios Sostis. By crossing the wooden bridge from Agios Sostis to the Cameo Island you will meet this shingled beach with crystal clear sea. However, the beach stands out for its spectacular view. Τhere is also a coffee bar on the island.
Kerì Caves, accessible only by sea with private boats or tourist excursions, develop along the promontory of Marathia Cape, in the South-West area of the island. Explore the enchanting Keri Caves, pass underneath the “Kamares” and have a swim in the crystal-clear waters.
The islet of Marathonisi is placed across the beach of Keri, in Laganas bay. It is not a single island but also includes two more small islets called Pontikonisia. Its perimeter is just about a mile and can be reached by boat from Keri beach and Laganas bay. There are boats that have frequent itineraries to the islet. Otherwise, you can hire a caique or take part in organized daily tours.

A clarification: We did not do this commercial activity because we practice snorkeling and kayaking. Leclerc Voyage "sold" us Zakynthos largely for its turtles (and for the shipwreck bay). In fact, turtles are migratory animals, they arrive in May, mate, lay eggs in Zakynthos and leave at the end of July for Africa. In September, you only see the numerous nesting sites, marked on the beaches by wooden pyramids. We met a couple who actually saw an old turtle, probably too tired to make the return trip, surrounded by 4 tourist boats: She couldn't stand this noise anymore, poor thing! Let them live!
Dear Guests, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Unfortunately this is the nature and reproduction process. We try to make our tours completely friendly and reconciled with nature so we would also like to use this as a learning experience for our whole team to improve daily. MTM DMC Team.
We chose this tour because it was reported to be turtle-friendly and it was. We spotted quickly a turtle, then moved to see part of the coastline, had the possibility to swim and then moved to turtle island where we had another break. The tour was very very good but what made it excellent was the boat’s pilot Denis. He was well prepared and very nice and friendly. When my daughter had a minor issue he went well above and beyond his duties and supported her with care. He is the real added asset to this tour! Absolutely recommended.

Do not do this activity we lost 4 hours of our holiday for an activity that turns out to be a turtle hunt no more or less! No animal preservation, the boats spin all day (music full bounty) to try to see how few turtles survive these scary conditions (for the survivors of this disaster who did not pass in the boats’ elises). Regarding the Island it is a real dump, black people, it is impossible for it to come back to lay their eggs in this place! You will not see any marrin animals while performing this activity, you will lose and your time and money! Run away Buy a mask and a snorkel you will be sure to respect and see them
Early May a super nice tour booked here! Unfortunately, the weather hadn't been so good the days before, so the water was a bit "murky" (still super nice blue), and spotting the turtles was a bit more difficult. Our guide was really great and did his best so we managed to see another turtle. The guide was also very concerned and concerned with our safety, so we went swimming at another beach instead of the original beach, because he could not see if it was safe because of jellyfish because the water was more murky. Eventually also saw super clear water, and be able to experience beautiful places. Definitely recommended!! Oh the only thing is, don't expect a mega big glass bottom. There's a middle piece you can see through, but it's not that the whole bottom is made of glass.
