This tour was a fantastic introduction to the city. I had limited time so wanted an overview so I could explore by myself for the rest of the day and it was great for that.
We were in Cardiff for the day so we visited the castle and then chose this walking tour. Our guide's name is James Wilcox and he was excellent! Great communication and he gave us the guided walking tour. James is professional, courteous and personable. He shared lots of information and answered all of our questions. He tailored the tour to our requests and was so helpful with recommendations of other things to do and see while in Cardiff. I highly recommend this tour and do request James for your guide! This is a perfect way to see and learn more about Cardiff and it is an easy walk. We were blessed with fabulous weather which made this walking tour even better! 5 stars for this tour and for James our wonderful guide.
If you are exploring Cardiff, you absolutely have to book a tour with James. He is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and brings the history of the city to life with fantastic stories. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a top-tier experience in Cardiff!
We booked a short walking tour of Cardiff and our guide James was brilliant. He has a relaxed and easy going manner with a good sense of humour. He is very knowledgeable about Cardiff and we found his tour very informative and thoroughly entertaining.
Cancelled last minute- which seems to be a bit of a habit for this tour operator. Cancelling with one hours notice is simply unacceptable. It caused great inconvenience to our group. It is unprofessional and frankly, a bit rude.
The tour was cancelled by James at 10.00am on the day of the tour. We was visiting Cardiff for a long weekend 60th birthday surprise and booked this tour a week before the date. It was very disappointing having the tour cancelled and It was not then possible to sort out another tour while we was there.
I'm so sorry that the tour had to be cancelled due to illness. We always try to give as much notice as possible, and the cancellation was made at 8:08am, so I'm not sure why you didn't receive notification until 10:00am. I can completely understand how disappointing this must have been, especially if you had made plans around the tour. I hope you had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration despite the change of plans and that you were able to enjoy your time in the city.
The walking tour was with James and he was a great tour guide! I’m glad I went on my first morning in Cardiff because it gave me a good understanding of the local area and where to go for the rest of my visit. I found myself returning to some of the spots we saw on the tour. Easy, interesting, informative and fun!
The tour was not very informative and comprehensive. About half of it was good. Our guide was very fast talking and chatty.
Thanks for your feedback and for joining the tour. I’m sorry to hear you felt parts of the experience could have been more informative. I try to keep the tours friendly, conversational and energetic, but I appreciate that different guests prefer different styles and pacing. I’m pleased you enjoyed parts of the tour, and I hope you had a fantastic stay in Cardiff. Diolch, James
Lots of information on the tour. I wish we had taken this tour on our first day visit in Cardiff rather than our third day.
A great, interesting, entertaining walking tour that gave me a strong feel for the various facets of Cardiff from culture to food to history. It really brought the city alive. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
