Highly Recommend!

Great experience. Took off out of Seward. Medium size boat. I recommend seats on the upper deck. It’s a better view and you can get outside on the deck quicker. Emma, our captain was excellent. She seemed to know everything about the animals. We saw bald eagles, sea otters, sea lions, seals, humpback, whales, puffins, cormorants. Unfortunately, no orcas. The highlight was the.Aialik a massive tidewater glacier south west of Seward in Kenai Fjords national Park. We stayed there for at least a half an hour and watched the glacier calve. Very cool. They served a great lunch. The crew collected glacier ice and served us drinks with it. The whole trip was approximately six hours. Only about a half an hour of travel was a bit rocky. Things to bring: layers of clothes, including a sweatshirt winter coat, and rain jacket and pants. Waterproof boots. hats and gloves. Binoculars. Snacks.Tips for the crew.

Great Captain!

We had a great experience despite the weather being the rainiest week in recent history. The captain was very knowledgeable and made every effort to get us to the best wildlife spots. Her commentary was informative and interesting and her personality was great. I highly recommend Kenai Fjord Tours. This is my 4th time on the tours out of Seward.

Great wildlife and glacier tour but a caveat

Great tour with lots of exciting wildlife, including a repeatedly-breaching whale (!!) and up-close glacier views. While conditions may have been normal for a Seward July in the Gulf of Alaska, the pitch and roll of the boat was too much for my wife even though she was wearing the patch throughout our cruise. She was quite miserable for this extended trip. If we’d have known what was coming I’m sure I would have gone solo or we’d have found a different adventure. It’s worth the trip, if you can enjoy it.

Fantastic cruise!

Beautiful cruise. Crew is extremely nice and attentive. Food was amazing, yes, the lunch was really good and fresh baked cookies. Scenery was unmatched even when cloudy and a little rain. I suggest you take Dramamine to be safe. A few people were ill for some of the cruise. Not worth it to risk it. It was rough for a bit due to the weather.

Would give 5++ stars

Captain Emma and crew were beyond amazing. The captain’s choice allows the captain to alter route to adjust for wildlife reports. We saw it all. Hump back whales bubble netting, Orcas, sea otters, puffins, glaciers, bald eagles, porpoises, sea lions, harbor seals. Perfect weather. Your mileage may vary.
