Captain of our boat was amazing! I tend to get motion sick and he did everything he could do to keep us out of the rough waters! He was very knowledgeable and truly enjoyed what he did for a living. Highly recommend this tour.
The tour was great; the boat captain was very kind and described each cave we encountered. We saw the iconic mountains of Capri and arrived at a spot near the small marina where they served us prosecco with limoncello (delicious). They didn’t give us pasta but some snacks after we took a dip in the sea. The water was at a perfect temperature (it’s August). It’s highly recommended for a family outing!
Towards the end of the cruise the operator started outrightly hinting that we should tip him. Things got very nasty when we didn’t tip him the amount that he wanted he started calling us names and being very aggressive. Super uncalled for. We already paid a lot for the cruise and you wanted more tip. Get your employer to pay you!!!
So- to start- our captain was fantastically nice. However, from the reviews I gleaned that we'd have Prosecco and a tour. However, our lovely captain didn't speak any English. So... we had a nice trip, it was really relaxing to drive around the island, but we feel pretty duped on our honeymoon to have done this while trying to use google maps in a low service zone and figure out what we're looking at.
when we showed up for our reservation, we found out that Discovery Capri had cancelled it. We ran around until we found someone from discovery capri, who said that I would be refunded 24 hours later since the experience was cancelled. Discovery capri wrote on my booking.com ticket that the experience was completed (and not cancelled). Discovery capri scammed me out of 400 euros.
The tour guide was nice. The boat ride around Capri was great. However I don't recommend paying extra for Pasta & Prosecco. The pasta was gross. It was brought onto rhe boat in a take out bag prior to tour so it was already cold prior to the boat ride. The taste wasn't great either. The blue grotto was closed.
The weather was great. We did not stop at the Blue Grotto (would have been a hour), so this allowed us to see the rest of the island and the other caves at a more leisurely pace.
Great family boat ride in capri for 6, Giuseppe showed us the views, swimming, rocks and even his guitar for a song. Lot of family fun! -Jon
Our skipper Roberto was highly skilled and offered great ideas and pointed out many locations around the shoreline.
This was an incredible experience and the highlight of our day trip to Capri. Roberto was excellent in taking us around the island and showing us all the important spots. I would highly recommend this private boat tour.
