This boat trip will take us to Cap de Formentor, the most easterly point of Mallorca, starting from Puerto de Pollensa. Our route will cross the Bay of Pollensa towards Formentor, passing the secluded Cala Murta. Weather permitting, we will reach Cala Figuera after rounding Cap de Formentor. Cap de Formentor is a magical place with its lighthouse and impressive cliffs, famously depicted by painters, poets, and writers. The views from the sea are even more spectacular. From the boat, we will enjoy breathtaking vistas of the cape's viewpoint and unique panoramic views as we circle the cape and its lighthouse. On the way back, we can stop at Formentor Beach, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and considered one of the best beaches in Mallorca. Here, you can stroll around, relax in the sun, or continue back to Puerto de Pollensa. If you choose to stop at Formentor Beach, you will have the option of various return times for the boat.
Cala Murta, a hidden gem on Mallorca's coast, is best appreciated from the sea. This secluded cove boasts pristine turquoise waters and dramatic rocky cliffs that create a stunning natural amphitheater. The leaflet offered a 4 hour coach/ferry trip to Formentor. When booking I was told I would be picked up at 10am and back 2pm.. I was advised to arrive 10 mins early. I was at the meeting point at 9.45. The coach arrived 10.30am. At 1pm we were back in Puerto Pollensa to be driven back to hotels. My hotel was closer to the ferry point than my pick up point so I declined to get on the coach and walked the few yards to my hotel. At 45 euros for 2.5 hours this excursion is a complete rip off. There should have been a reduction for anyone joining at Puerto Pollensa. I should have been told my trip was just 2.5 hours.We had no real time on Formentor either, just 50 minutes.

From your description, it seems you were taken directly to the ferry pier and returned shortly after, which is not our programme. We understand your frustration, but this service was provided by a different company. I do not recommend at all!! I didn't know we were gonna be left two and a half on the formentor beach. I could not swim with my baby like everyone else because the gentleman, rather unsmiling scared my baby. I was even treated to a "sit down with your baby and stay safe!!". Shame to say that! Because of them I was bad I cried I found the time very long..my son was also crying and running in all directions seeing these looks wrong on us. And there was only one employee who was good but as soon as he told me his boss yelled at him!!! I don't know if it was racism or outright wickedness... I think both! Shame on you. I hope life will give it back to you! I'm sorry I booked this boat from hell.

The trip was cancelled allegedly due to bad weather, although we were in the bay and it was a beautiful day. Now no communication fyrom company regarding reimbursement of my money even though they cancelled it.

Although conditions may seem calm from the beach, once you leave the shelter of the bay, the sea can become rough and unsafe, especially around Cap de Formentor. Safety is always the captain’s top priority, and decisions to cancel are never taken lightly or arbitrarily. The cancellation was communicated via Viator’s internal message system, which is the platform used for official notifications. Please make sure to check your Viator messages, including spam or promo folders, as communication is always sent there in these cases. As for the refund, Viator handles that directly and automatically once a tour is cancelled — we recommend following up with their support if you haven’t yet received confirmation. The tour went longer than stated (which was not so great because of children who got tired, especially since there were 2 unloading stops), it was also a pity that they did not drive around the cap but just up to the lighthouse.
