Itinerary
You have to arrive to our Canyoning site wich is located in Calle Chirraca, a small, modest, yet lush place near the town of Turrialba, which is an hour and a half east of San Jose. We begin the Canyoning tour with an introduction of our guides and the equipment to help familiarize you with the different uses of the equipment. After , you are rappelling down four waterfalls, zip lining down five canopy cables, walking across a 132 foot hanging bridge – all giving you an unforgettable adrenaline rush!

Super fun experience if you are in Turrialba. The guides were awesome! They focused on safety and gave a proper amount of encouragement. Zip lines were fun. Rappels were exciting, but doable. We booked the 12:30 experience and we were served lunch ahead of the activity starting. We were surprised as we thought only the morning start time included lunch. Facility has outdoor shower, changing room, and bathrooms.

The guides are very professional and know their job well. In addition, they show us the sloths in the trees and other animals we meet on our way. It was very interesting and fun. I recommend Explornatura to all.

We live an excellent experience with Explornatura, enjoying canyoning, suspension bridge and canopy activities, all perfectly organized and full of adrenaline. From the beginning, the guides demonstrated a high level of professionalism, friendliness and commitment to safety. They were clear in the instructions, attentive at all times and conveyed a lot of confidence, which allowed to enjoy each activity to the fullest, even for those who did it for the first time. The canyoning was exciting and challenging; the suspension bridge offered breathtaking views; and the canopy combined speed, fun and a total connection to the natural environment. We highly recommend Explornatura for those looking for adventure, security and a well-organized experience. Undoubtedly, a company that stands out for the quality of its service and love of nature. I had a fantastic time on the canyoning trip in Turrialba with Explornatura. Our guides (Cesar and Roy) were extremely friendly, but also safety conscious. We saw two sloths and numerous birds on the tour. I would definitely recommend to bring a your phone or camera that is l waterproof or bring a small dry pouch to take pictures. Our guides were happy to take pictures on our phone.

Walter and team were outstanding. Took myself and two daughters (10 and 8.) five fun zip lines and three fun rappelling events of easy to moderate difficulty. Tour guides were local and experts in wildlife and methods, great guys who made it special. This is a great experience and worth it!

We were six (3 adults, 2 teenagers from catorze and 1 child from ounce) and have provided us with maximum adventure with all the security. We did 5 shots, we went down 3 falls, we went up a fall and we walked a ponte suspenso. All very friendly and caring for everyone. At the end there is a spa to shower and a meal/snack in a very nice setting.

Great experience. Guides were extremely competent. A little rough driving to the base camp was not a problem. Rapelling and doing the zipline trough the forest and the canyon are highly recommended.

We had an unforgettable experience with Explornatura on their Canyoneering and Canopy tour! The entire team were skilled experts who made us feel safe from start to finish. They were not only professional but also so much fun and incredibly engaging with our children (ages 9 and 12). Our 9-year-old daughter was a bit nervous at first, but the guides went above and beyond to patiently accommodate her needs, helping her feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Explornatura organized an amazing two day experience for my group of high school students on short notice. They organized our lodging, transportation, and meals which all were seamless.
