This is such a curated experience, and nothing authentically Mexican about it. A stop at a jewelry store at the Marriott? Really?! Then to a “Mexican” store and restaurant that was so touristy. Also, I paid for four stops and was sent an itinerary and we only went to 3. Also, we were supposed to get a $50 gift certificate to this jewelry shop that we never received. And, we were told we were getting a mezcal tasting that never happened. The guide was nice and friendly but he gave us a 5-minute spiel about Cancún and that was the extent of it. When I asked for a partial refund I was denied. Save your money. Catch a taxi and tell them to take you to a mercado and you will have a better experience for less.

THIS IS THE WORST TOUR OF MY LIFE DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR OR WITH THIS COMPANY. I honestly do not understand why this this many stars it should be a 1 star tour. I swear they are deleting reviews or something. Here is everything that sucked: 1. They pressured us in skipping the MAYAN Museum. They kept making excuses such as “its so hot to be walking outside for 1 hour” (it should be ~45 minutes as stated in the itinerary but whatever 45min is close to 1hr). “They” said they didnt want to do it (who is they? I was scared to ask and my friends didn’t want to be confrontational). So be aware if you guys are extremely easily pressured as we were (we were only 3 girls). They also made sure we signed a waiver and the tour guide was making me feel uncomfortable so I obliged. Huge mistake now I can’t even get a partial refund because this is a 70 CAD tour (ridiculous) but they didn’t even have to pay for our tickets. Not that Viator is known to have good customer service. They were trying to have many other teams after us skip the mayan museum as well. This had other teams super angry. Like they have 4 tour spots. How can they take one out on the day of? Thats like 25% of the freaking tour missing. 2. 15 minutes at the Dolphin beach is a scam. They literally loaded us off and took three/four pictures of us each and rounded us on the van again. We did not have 15 minutes to enjoy an honestly beautiful beach. 3. The “shopping” experience is not taking you to a market. Its more like sending you to that scammy “outlet” (calling it an outlet is generous, more like two floors of sunglasses, tequilas and cheap lab made stone jewelry). It was terrible like why did they name an entire tour of something so mediocre. 4. The restaurant was smelling like mildew and the waiter was SO RUDE WHEN HE REALIZED WE WERENT GONNA SPEND HUNDREDS ON OVERPRICED MID FOOD. Like even with the voucher the food is over priced. But the waiter was the worst, snatching things and not even offering water. Why he thought he was inclined to 20% tip if he was just gonna snatch things and talk rudely is beyond my guess but we still gave it but it was baddddddd service. 5. We had to wait 40 minutes outside in the heat because our driver wouldn’t come. They kept saying 5 more minutes. for about 30 of those minutes. They wouldn’t let us leave either for some reason. Also our tour guide disappeared on us in the middle and when he came back witha different team he was so rude most likely because we were keep asking them how much longer do we have to wait. The other teams left wayyy earlier and on their accord and they were the smart ones. They don’t respect your time which is super important on a vacation with limited time. This is the most disappointing and disgusting tour I’ve ever had the displeasure of being on. It was our last day so we wanted to do something chill before we head to the airport but it’s now left me with a bad taste and so much rage. I feel horrible for booking this tour for my friends and I wish everyone listens to me and not think I am being dramatic (I thought those couple other bad reviews were being dramatic and was expecting too much). But this is single handedly the most overpriced low quality thing I’ve done (and my tolerance for bad things is pretty high) and I wish I can get some sort of a refund because it’s only done like half of what it said it would accomplish on the booking page. But for those who didn’t read this long review and those who still decide to take the tour you will remember me and my review at some point.

It was a great tour but the last store on the tour didn’t have the correct exchange rate and was charging us (American customers) more money than what they should have.

Traveled with my spouse and 2 teenagers, this excursion was shared with another family that I was unaware while booking but we all became friends instantly. Took great pictures, had great tacos & tequila. My only wish is that we would have known that the museum was closed prior to booking.

This is a box standard tour. You travel to partnered locations for shopping. The staff was pleasant the food at Mexico magico was excellent the tequila tasting was decent. This is a good tour for a quick intro to the area but not any deeper than that.

The guy did not give any information or guide us through a tour of the city while driving. The museum he said it was closed so we never went there and he said the beach was too hot and crowded so we didn’t go there either.

Great trip to see downtown Mexico. The tour guide was excellent. I enjoyed seeing the beach and taking pictures and that Mexican food fron the restaurant was so good.

First as a solo traveler I was told I had to purchase two tickets. Our first stop was a hotels gift shop for tequila tasting and to explore the gift shop. Our second stop was a museum that had no AC, the third stop was another store that had a restaurant attached to it. This was not worth the $78 I spent. Do not recommend!

Tour was good, but each stop - jewelry store, & tequila tasting, felt like there was a lot of pressure to buy items from them.
