This was the best experience of our trip. Absolutely stunning views and friendly guide to take pictures of our family.
Highly recommend this for. Jimmy was a great tour guide--he is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife & vegetation in the area. The hikes to the hanging bridges were not difficult but did feel like decent hikes. The hanging bridges were safe--someone in our party was afraid of heights but had no problem going on these bridges. The views were amazing and the waterfall swim was refreshing & nice. The homemade meal was the best meal we had from any of our tours.
Absolutely amazing day. I highly recommend this tour specifically with Efrain Tours. Our guide Jimmy was fabulous!!! We got a fabulous education in both the Costa Rican ecosystem and culture. Lunch was amazing!
Jose picked us up from our hotel and drove us over some rough roads to our destination in Los Campesinos, a little over an hour from Manuel Antonio. The mountain setting was beautiful (and a nice change from the M.A. area) and the waterfalls and hanging bridges definitely lived up to expectation. Swimming in the waterfall pool was a plus, especially after a rather sweaty morning of hiking. A pleasant surprise was the home cooked traditional lunch at the end. They were able to accommodate our vegetarian meal preference. Jose was very patient and did not rush us from activity to activity. My only suggestion for improvement would be for Efrain's Tours to provide more information on what to expect on the tour. For example, I didn't know about lunch and swimming except from other reviews. Otherwise, although a little more expensive than other tours, this was well worth it.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback! 😊 At Efrain’s Nature Tours, we’re so glad you enjoyed your visit to Los Campesinos and We’re so glad you enjoyed the change of landscape, the natural pools, and the elevated walkways, which together create such a unique setting away from the coastal area. It’s also great to know the freshly prepared local meal added something special to the experience. Jose will be happy to know his patience and attentive service made a positive difference throughout the day. We also sincerely appreciate your suggestion regarding clearer details about what’s included. That’s very helpful feedback, and we will absolutely take it into consideration to improve how we communicate tour expectations in advance. Thank you again for choosing us. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure in Costa Rica! 🌿
We had the best day with our tour guide, Jimmy! The truck ride to Los Campesinos was full of beautiful scenery and lots of information from Jimmy. He is very passionate about sharing his knowledge about the forest, animals and insects. This guy knows his stuff! We learned SO much from him. The swim in the natural pool was heavenly and lunch was delicious and so fun. Corona and her family are just the sweetest people. On top of all of that, Jimmy took lots of photos and videos of us and everything that we saw and then sent them to us. I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was amazing!
Guide was eager to take us around. The whole trip was little strenuous because of the pathway and not having good roads. Food was good
We took the Campesino tour with our guide,Jimmy, on a heavy rainy day. He drove safely and gave us a lot of informations about Quepos and the surroundings. Once in the Campesino reserve, he offered to take pictures of the walk in the forest and on the hanging bridges. Colors were amazing. We couldn't swim at the waterfalls because there was too much water, but the tour is worth taking anyway. The warm welcoming of Corona and Victor at the lunch time in their home was a unique moment in our trip. We ate home-made casado, drank sugar can juice and visited their garden. This local experience made the Campesino tour exceptionnal.
We had such a good experience with our guide, Jose! We were fortunate to be with a very small group and we received a lot of special attention. Jose knew exactly what to look at and even stopped during transport from the fall to point out wildlife we never would have seen otherwise. This was a really fun and authentic experience.
My boyfriend actually wanted me to cancel this tour because we had just done a waterfall tour two days prior and he thought it would be boring and repetitive. Boy was he wrong and said he was so happy I didn’t listen to him. Our guide was Jimmy and he was sooo knowledgeable and it’s so obvious how much he loves nature and animals. We saw so many different animals from anolis, to birds, to iguanas, you name it and he knew so much ! I also felt very safe with him on the road. The drive is rough but I felt safe the whole time. We crossed some beautiful bridges and swam in a waterfall. We ended the day with a typical lunch at one of the locals homes and it was one of the best meals we had during our trip. Jimmy was also really great about taking pictures for us. I would definitely recommend this tour and Jimmy to anyone.
Edward was super friendly and the full day was very nice 😊 the beautiful, clean place and spectacular food the richest we have tried in Costa Rica
