Had an amazing day out in the highlands. Great views and it was really interesting to visit the tea plantations. Ram was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and will adapt the tour according to your preferences.
This was a more of a taxi service than a tour. Our guide was nice, but offered little information. When you get to every stop there’s an entrance fee in excess of the tour fee (for us that was another $100). When we arrived at several stops we found that the market or garden was closed. I would look to book an uber for the day for half the price.
Can we get your booking details or tour date? For further investigation? Because we don't find any booking on 20th may. Another thing ee mentioned that all the fee are covered by our company so there's no chances for you guys to pay at those gardens.
Jason was a considerate and knowledgeable driver, and took care to drive the best route to avoid traffic and make the day memorable. He picked me up punctually at 6.30 am at the hotel, stopped for breakfast for me on the way to Cameron Highlands, and even at a pastry shop I wanted to visit on the way back. The first half of the day was spent in the Mossy Forest and BOH tea plantation with another guide and group, and the other half at Raaju's Hill Strawberry farm, Rose Garden, lunch at a recommended place and Cameron Valley tea plantation. All in all, I enjoyed my day and can recommend this tour, even for solo travellers like myself!
We asked for our journey to just include the mossy forest and tea plantations. Our driver kindly priorised those things allowing us to spend a good amount of quality time at just those places. The tea plantations are stunningly beautiful - BOH Tea is much better maintained than Cameron Tea but the latter is better if you want a bit more quiet time. Do ensure your Viator app has the right mobile number in it when you book because the tour operator will use it to contact you via WhatsApp the evening before. Also, be sure to check you have written your specific Hotel for pick up and stop off in the comments section when you book as only a few are auto populated in the drop down list (but you are not actually limited to them). The tea plantations and mossy forest are lovely - the State government should clean up all the litter on the way there and back as it detracts from the otherwise awesome spectacle of the limestone cliffs and beautiful jungle. Overall highly recommend using Viator for this!
the trip was good, I dont think it is needed visiting 2 tea farms.... best to choose something else...
Hi, thank you for your feedback! Both stops are actually different tea providers in Cameron Highlands, so each offers a slightly different experience. However, it’s completely optional you can always let the driver know if you’d prefer to skip one of the tea farms and visit something else instead. We’re happy to adjust based on your preference!
Pickup process was smooth and the journey was in a new and clean car. Happy with the day out and the experiences.
The tour was excellent! Ram was our guide and did a great job. He was knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. The Cameron Highlands are definitely worth visiting. Just beautiful! I highly recommend this experience.
Amazing experience. Ram is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful guide. Picked up directly from our AirBnB, and helped us after with our transfer to penang.
The tour was well organized and started (negatively) - an hour earlier than I booked, I was informed the night before. My guide Maran was very friendly and told a lot along the way and answered questions. At the Cameron Highlands and Mossy Forest, a second guidebook was added to guide us through these two points. On the way back we stopped at another tea plantation and at a local market and a strawberry farm. Here, however, Maran was always so friendly and asked us if we still wanted to do that. In the end he had kindly taken us to a restaurant in Ipoh and gave us lots of tips about the local food/restaurants and also offered to help with any questions about Whatts app. Thank you for that!
The highlight for us was the tea plantation visits. Our driver / guide Jim brought us to all our stops and provided some insight into what we were experiencing.
