Cali is the city of birds, where more than 500 species live, including residents and migratory birds. Colombia is the country that is home to the greatest diversity of birds in the world, and in Cali you will find more than 30% of the birds in Colombia. Cali is the closest city to the Colombian Pacific, thanks to the magnificent geographical position, with our particular climate and unique topography, we receive about 170 migratory species throughout the year. With its colorful feathers and beautiful melodies, this Bird Watching activity restores the human being's connection with nature through trails full of thick vegetation and exuberant fauna. Valle Del Cauca is the ideal department for Bird Watching, let yourself be seduced by its beauty and its sounds directly in its natural habitat at any time of the year. We will observe, listen, feel, enjoy, share and learn from birds.

We will pass through the highest point of the hill during which you will have an opportunity to see the beautiful views offered by the western mountain range. Thanks to its stable climate, you will also be able to appreciate how the vegetation evolves as you go up the mountain. You will also get to see all the communities sorrounding the area.
After the pleasant car ride, we will arrive at our destination were we will carry out all the activities mentioned on the description of the tour. We will begin by having a gourmet homemade breakfast that will provide you with the energy to begin our trek. Once there you will be pleasantly surprised to find a large abundance and variety of birds.

- Long-sleeved pants and shirt.
- Wear clothing in neutral colors or dark shades.
- In a small suitcase carry: Extra clothing, cap or hat, rain poncho or waterproof jacket, light coat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent that are environmentally friendly.
- The tour is not cancelled in case of bad weather, please consider bringing a rain poncho or waterproof jacket. A waterproof bag will also be required to store any items you wish to bring on the tour.

Perfect place for birding honey birds. Our guide leaded us to two” fin-car” in KM18. Both has amazing amount of birds. Thank you Calina for this wonderful memory. We even had a wonderful lunch together thanks again for your hospitality & kindness.

The whole experience starting from the drive to the finca “bosque de niebla”, the family welcome at the finca with coffee and breakfast and the knowledgable guide for bird watching, was excellent. We saw many beautiful birds including toucanets, tanagers of many different colours, barbets, eagles, humming birds and many more. It was a real treat for the eyes and suited us as immature bird watchers. The experience of having coffee and breakfast on the terrace with these beautiful birds feeding on the bananas, seeds etc put out by the family is going to stay with us. The driver, the family and the guide were truly very nice. However we felt the tour was a bit too costly and not cost effective.

Ride, breakfast and bird watching were absolute class. 10/10! We could see over 40 different birds! We were picked up on time directly from the hotel. I've never seen such biodiversity! Great guide who could also explain a lot of the birds! We even had the opportunity to witness a tarantula up close!

Wonderful trip. Beautiful scenery and relaxed experience. The birds were plentiful and so easy to observe at the feeding stations. The Multicolored Tanager was something else :) The guides were great. Asherita’s passion for her conservation work was inspiring. Highly recommended.
