I enjoyed learning the "back story" of many of the buildings and art installations. I thought the tour did a great job of showing us some of the highlights of the city. I really liked the self guided aspect as my friends and I spent more time at some exhibits and buildings and less at others. It was extremely cold so I would enjoy doing the tour in better weather. The map provided was not completely accurate. We did find that using Google Maps was a better way to get us from point to point. By using Google Maps, we saw a few things that were not on the actual "tour" which was nice.
Dear Valued Traveller, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with our Calgary Self Guided Audio Experience! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed learning the "back stories" of Calgary's buildings and art installations, and that the self-guided format allowed you and your friends the flexibility to explore at your own pace. We truly appreciate your feedback about the map. Our Google My Maps itinerary is carefully designed with all attraction locations accurately marked with headphone icons. However, we understand there may have been some confusion, as several of our featured attractions - such as Stephen Avenue Walk, the Peace Bridge, Prince's Island Park, and the +15 Skywalk - are expansive area-based attractions rather than single-point locations. These aren't confined to one specific GPS coordinate; instead, they're streets, bridges, parks, and pathways meant to be experienced throughout their entire area. This is the nature of these wonderful urban experiences! Your comment about the cold weather resonates with us! Calgary's winter can indeed be challenging for outdoor exploration. We'd love to welcome you back during the warmer months (May through September) when you can truly savor the outdoor attractions like Prince's Island Park and Peace Bridge with greater comfort. The city comes alive in spring and summer! Remember, with our self-guided format, you have complete flexibility to revisit any attractions, explore in any order, and even split the experience across multiple days - perfect for a return visit in better weather! Thank you again for choosing our tour and for your thoughtful review. We hope to help you discover more of Calgary's treasures on your next visit! Warm regards, Ashok T Uvamai Niche Tourism
We really enjoyed all the information that was given at the different stops for the virtual tour. We did have trouble getting from one stop to another since the map was a bad representation of the actual location. Plus some locations did not give an address to GPS. I think a better flow of stops and more accurate mapping would be helpful to this tour. Overall it was very informational about the area and the locations we visited. We enjoyed the day of adventure!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with our Calgary Self Guided Audio Tour! We're thrilled to hear that you found the information at each stop informative and that you enjoyed your day of adventure exploring the area. We really appreciate your feedback about the navigation challenges you encountered. We'd like to clarify that this is designed as a self-guided audio tour rather than a GPS-guided tour, which gives you complete flexibility to explore the attractions in any order you prefer and create your own route based on your interests. When you receive your tour materials, you'll get two links: one for your audio guides on SoundCloud and one for an interactive map on Google My Maps. The Google My Maps link should be opened in your web browser (not the Google Maps app), where you'll see all attractions marked with headphone icons. From there, you can tap on any attraction icon or view the complete list, and when you select a location, you'll see a popup with a clickable link that can help you navigate to that specific spot. Since this is a self-guided experience, you have the freedom to choose where to start and finish, which attractions to visit, and even split the tour across multiple days if you'd like. We understand that having clear directions is important, so we encourage future travelers to review both the audio content and map before starting to plan their preferred route. If you or anyone else experiences difficulty accessing or navigating with the tour materials in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team—we're always happy to help ensure you have the best experience possible. Thank you again for choosing our tour, and we're so glad you had an informational and enjoyable adventure in Calgary!
