Cachasol Culinary Workshop
Description
This one hour hands-on culinary workshop is a fun, food-forward experience for adults, non-drinkers, and families with kids 6 and older. Youth and non-drinking adults can join with a non-alcoholic drink option, and younger kids can enjoy the playground and activity sheets while the group cooks. Come hungry because the class comes with a full meal. This is not a polished cooking demo where you watch from a distance. You get involved, ask questions, make a little mess, and learn techniques you can actually repeat at home. Men's Journal named Cachasol one of 2026's Best Small-Batch Tequilas and Best Everyday Tequilas, and this workshop shows why great tequila and fresh food belong together. Many guests end up staying for dessert, another drink at the Cachashade Bar, or a little more time at the farm while the kids play. That is the part guests do not always expect, and the reason Forbes called Cachasol "a destination, not just a label."

What a treat to visit Cachasol! We can’t wait to come back next year. We throughly enjoyed the mixology and culinary tour. Great tequila, fun fresh ingredients and mocktail was perfect too!

I usually take a cooking class when visiting a place for the first time. My niece and I were pleasantly surprised how great this mixology class was. We learned about the agave plants, different types of tequila and processes. We made guacamole and salsa - the best ever! The people working here were very friendly and fun. I’d highly recommend this side tour which is just outside Sayulita. If I’m back in Sayulita, I would take this class again. Thank you.

We had such an amazing experience at Cachasol Farm Distillery outside of Sayulita! We visited as a family, my husband, our 4-year-old son, and myself, and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Our son had the best time learning how to make his own jamaica drink, while we got to learn how to make delicious tequila cocktails. We also made fresh guacamole and tortillas, which was such a fun and authentic experience for all of us. The atmosphere was beautiful, relaxing, and incredibly family-friendly. They even have a really cool nature playground for kids, which made the experience even more special for our son. You can truly feel the passion, warmth, and hospitality from everyone there. Highly recommend for couples, families, or anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience near Sayulita!

The Viator app specifically says to tell driver Hacienda Jacqueline. It is not. Our driver just dropped us. We ended up wandering around a random ranch with our 11 year old in the heat until someone was able to tell us it is down the road. We ended having to walk not knowing where we were going in a very remote farm. We were anxious, hot and unfortunately late to our experience. The drop off is the distillery NOT the Hacienda

Spend the last day of our trip at Cachasol with our guide Jose. We had a fantastic afternoon, it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. If you have the chance, book it you will not be disappointed :)

This was a fun afternoon with family. We got to learn how to make a drinks and mocktails with unique ingredients. We then got to do some light cooking. Our teenager had fun with it too! The Cachasol team was so friendly. Lots of beautiful plants and agave on the property that makes a great backdrop to the experience. We’d do it all over again!

This was an incredible experience from start to finish. Learning the proper way to craft margaritas and guacamole completely elevated the flavors—it wasn’t just a tasting, it was actually educational in the best way. The food was outstanding, and the drinks were even better. What truly made it unforgettable, though, was the staff. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do, which made the entire experience feel personal and special. We’ll absolutely be recommending this to friends and would 100% come back again. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

After living in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly 35 years, I have attended many a wine tasting. This is my first tequila-focused event. Christian, our mixologist and host, was excellent. He taught us how to concoct the perfect margarita with different ingredients. I loved the passion flower margarita most. The guacamole competition was a blast as was pressing masa for tortillas and placing them on the hot top. The resulting quesadillas never tasted so good. It was such an enjoyable and different experience. A very nice touch is that the owner, Monty, came by and sat down with us. My friend, Susan, who booked the workshop, and I had a special day and one I will not forget.
