Cabo Boat Ride to El Arco & Lover’s Beach with Swimming

It was cool. Didnt like the gouging cost for pics.

The tour was fine, the guides were okay. The arch was so pretty and the weather was perfect! But they failed to tell us that the beach was closed and we wouldn't be able to get off the boat. They didn't offer to do a partial refund and they told us it would be an extra $50 for photos. If you just want a cheap ride to the arch it's great but don't expect the most amazing experience.

We booked this tour hoping to visit Lover’s Beach, but unfortunately it was closed. I also wanted to see Divorce Beach, but if Lover’s Beach is closed, you can’t access it either. Instead, they took us to Balconcito Beach, a small, rocky beach. What disappointed us most was that they never mentioned beforehand that Lover’s Beach can be closed—and, as we later learned, this happens quite often. Had we known that in advance, we might have chosen a different tour.

DO NOT BOOK WITH GREGORY TOURS! We signed up for the 2 hour boat tour and snorkeling. The four of us were dropped off at Pelican Beach and was told by our guide that they would be there to pick us up at 12:45. 12:45 came and went. We called multiple times and locals at the beach called multiple times as well. Time and time again we were told that the tour boat was ‘coming’ and ‘5 more minutes’. This beach is not one you can easily walk back to the marina from. It’s over a mile of scaling wet rocks and dodging waves as the tide was rising. After 2 hours past our pick up time, we ended up having to pay $45 dollars to a different company to taxi us off the beach. I already reached out to management with request to refund and compensate for our additional taxi cost. And, while not surprising, we have not heard a word from the company. Beyond disappointed, felt scammy and would NEVER recommend Gregory Tours.

The reason I'm giving 3 stars is not because of the boat ride—it was because of the beach drop-off. We were told to arrive by 8:45 a.m., but the Gregory Tours staff didn't arrive until about 9:05–9:10 a.m. The boat ride itself was excellent, and our tour guide, Johnny, was wonderful. The problem was the beach. There was no drinking water, no umbrellas, or any shade. Instead, rude beach attendants tried to charge $30–$40 for an umbrella. That's unacceptable. Gregory Tours should ensure that basic amenities, such as drinking water and reasonably priced umbrellas, are available where they drop off their guests. The boat ride was 5 stars, the beach experience with the stunning refreshing blue water were amazing!! Our only compliant is the dropoff and being forced to deal with the rude beach attendants.

The views were spectacular, the problem was the company, I didn't see anything of what I paid for. $49 take the cheap one.

We had so much fun. We got to see the arch, the animals, and spend time at the beach. Make sure you bring food.

The boat ride, driver and guide were great!! I also loved the beach we went on. Though please be careful once on beach about getting scammed for drinks and umbrella. We ended up paying for an umbrella to sit under ($20) though he was trying to charge $35 to person next to us. (no idea we had to pay for umbrella use for 1 hour which is ridiculous), the guy wanted to change us even more for tips and drinks. We declined and he was rude. Be careful of getting scammed on one of the beaches by the workers!!!

Communication between the tour company and the boat operators could have been better. Our group of 15 had booked a tour and unfortunately were informed (only when prompted) at the very end of the boat tour that we were not going to be able to stop at any of the beaches due to the waters being too choppy and unsafe. I’m not upset that conditions were not ideal as that is out of everyone’s hands; however, had the tour organizer and boat operator communicated about the dangerous conditions, then a discussion could’ve been had about potentially rescheduling the tour for the following day. Instead, as we were heading back to the docks, we stopped by two of the beaches that were pointed out earlier to pick up different patrons. Only then was I inclined to inquire about whether we would be able to visit at least one beach and the response was no. So essentially, we just sat on a boat as the operator just pointed out the different beaches from afar and returned back to shore without ever touching the ocean water. It was a waste of our precious vacation time and money in which alternative options could have at least been discussed.
