The Woman’s Bridge, one of the emblems of the Puerto Madero neighborhood, is the first work in Latin America by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and represents yet another example of the City’s ongoing quest to position itself at the forefront of art and architecture throughout the region. It is a rotating pedestrian bridge with one of the largest turning mechanisms in the world, designed to allow the passage of sailing boats that navigate the docks of Puerto Madero. The work, made in Spain and donated to the City by an individual, depicts the image of a couple dancing tango, where the white mast symbolizes the man and the curved silhouette of the bridge is the woman.
The church of the Lady of the Pillar is a basilica located in the neighborhood of Recoleta in Buenos Aires; once it was part of the convent of Franciscans Recollectos. Its construction, completed in 1732, is due to the Aragonese patron Juan de Narbonne
It is a palace located in front of the Plaza de Mayo that functions as the seat of the National Government. This imposing pink building occupies the plot where the Fort of Buenos Aires was erected in 1580. It was the residence of the Spanish viceroys and then housed, with some reforms, the authorities of successive national governments. The current building is the product of the merger of two previous constructions: the presidential headquarters and the Post Office Palace (on the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Balcarce).
Argentina is famous worldwide for its Meat, Wine and Leathers. Visit the largest and oldest leather factory in Buenos Aires City, with a showroom of more than 300 square meters.
San Telmo is a neighborhood located in Commune 1 of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is comprised of Chile, Av. Ingeniero Huergo, Av. Brasil, Av. Paseo Colón, Av. Martín García, Defensa, Av. Caseros and Piedras streets, although surrounding areas fall into the same designation for commercial or real estate purposes. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Monserrat to the north, Puerto Madero to the east, La Boca to the southeast, Barracas to the southwest and Constitución to the west. At just 1.2 km2, San Telmo is the smallest neighborhood in Buenos Aires City. San Telmo (by San Pedro González Telmo) is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires City. Together with nearby Monserrat it is known as "Barrio Sur", as opposed to the "Barrio Norte" of Retiro and San Nicolás. You can still hear Rio Plata rhythms like tango and candombe in its streets.
Recognized by various international media as one of the most emblematic football stadiums in the world, and declared of “sporting, tourist and cultural interest of the city of Buenos Aires”, it was inaugurated on May 25, 1940. Diego Armando Maradona defined this stadium as “The Temple of the Mouth”. Also, various sports glories such as Pelé, Zico, Andrés Iniesta and Thierry Henry, among others, have declared that the stadium of Boca Juniors lives a good experience. The stadium has a capacity for 40,000 seated and 57,000 seated and standing spectators.
Caminito is the most famous pedestrian street in Buenos Aires. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city due to its colorful houses and its deep historical and cultural significance. Caminito is located in the popular neighborhood of La Boca, on the coast of the Riachuelo River and just 400 meters from La Bombonera, the stadium of Boca Juniors. This is a 150-meter long pedestrian promenade where you can see important artistic works.
The Ateneo Grand Splendid was chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as the second largest bookstore in the world. Built on the old Grand Splendid cinema in the Recoleta district, it retains its old splendour and elegance, with the frescoed dome, original railings and intact decoration. On the old stage - with the velvet curtain ajar - there is a bar that invites you to sit book in hand. You can also take advantage of the armchairs that are on both sides of the main room or be located in the exclusive boxes that double as small reading rooms. There is a children’s book sector in the basement, and the upper floor is dedicated to exhibitions and exhibitions.
This imposing 20-meter tall sculpture that dominates the United Nations square was donated to the City of Buenos Aires by its author, the Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano. It is made of stainless steel and aluminum and weighs 18 tons. It is the first sculpture in motion controlled by a hydraulic system and photoelectric cells. The work was inaugurated on 13 April 2002. Its name, “Floralis Generica”, is a tribute to all flowers. It is the projection of a dream of its creator, that of building a large-scale structure that reflects the dynamism of our time. - At each tourist spot you will go down and have between 15 and 20 minutes to take photos. - The guide will be with you at all times and will help you in each photo - He will tell you the whole story of Buenos Aires and how it developed over the years. - Meet the most beautiful bookstore in the world
Inside the Parque 3 de Febrero, in Palermo, is the Rosedal, with a collection of more than 18,000 roses and a lake that surrounds it. It occupies a space that belonged to the fifth of Juan Manuel de Rosas, until it was defeated on February 3, 1852 in the Battle of Caseros. The work began with the landscape designer Carlos Thays, who built the Botanical Garden, Parque Avellaneda and Parque Lezama, among others. Then his disciple Benito Carrasco finished it in 1914.

He knows so much about Buenos Aires and its history, and he shared tons of interesting stories and little details I’d never heard before.
