Our guide Susan was amazing.. made our whole day and experience beyond perfect. No matter what we did, she knew where to go and how to do it best.
Our private day tour from Budapest to Bratislava was a perfect way to experience both the Hungarian and Slovak countryside. Our guide, Sofia, was thoughtful, experienced, knowledgeable, extremely attentive and most of all funny. She adjusted our plan for our gentle walker by suggesting we include the panoramic bus tour - which was the ideal way to see the city's highlights and views comfortably. We enjoyed a customized walking tour in the city's center, had a delicious lunch of local cuisine topped off by fantastic ice cream cone. The drive back to Budapest was equally as relaxing, informative, and enjoyable as the morning drive. Everything was seamless, well-paced, and exactly what we had hoped for having one day to see the city of Bratislava. Highly recommend, Sofia and this experience. We left feeling like we had made a friend for life.
On balance, Attila did a great job providing a historical and fact-filled tour of Bratislava. We enjoyed the privacy of a nice van for ourselves, as well as the ability to change our itinerary to accommodate our interests. The first gift shop we were taken to visit was a bit of a tourist trap. We didn’t buy anything and I think our guide’s friend was slightly annoyed. Lunch was excellent. When we first arrived at the food hall, I saw nothing but tourists. I was disappointed and had low expectations. When the food arrived, I was very pleased: the cabbage soup and sausage were delicious. The caramel cream puff was also amazingly light and sweet. The five hours (round trip) were a bit of a hike from Budapest (easier to visit from Vienna) but it was a nice diversion and Attila was attentive and polite.
The tour was informative. The tour guide Susannah was really nice! She was prompt and showed us where to go in Bratislava
My husband and I really enjoy the city of Bratislava. Highly recommended day tour from Budapest especially when the tour guide is fun and nice named Szofia.
We had a wonderful day with Sofia who looked after us wonderfully well. She was extremely knowledgeable but also we had some good fun trying to learn some Hungarian along the way. Bratislava was well worth a visit and we are so glad we spent the day to visit somewhere very different. Many thanks; a great day for us to look back on.
A wonderful tour! It was such a delight to visit Bratislava, and I could not have had a more knowledgeable and kind guide!
Great way to see another amazing city in central Europe and learn a ton of history. Susan and Gabor were great hosts. Given it was private, we were able to control the pace.
We had a fantastic private day trip to Bratislava! Our guide was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience so enjoyable. The lunch was delicious, and we got to enjoy beautiful sites throughout the city. We also appreciated having an hour of free time to explore on our own. Highly recommend this tour for a perfect mix of history, local culture, and relaxation!
We had an amazing day with Susan driving from Budapest to Bratislava! Susan was a fantastic driver, a warm host, and an exceptional storyteller. Her passion for Hungary truly made the trip! She was able to help us navigate Brataslava and teach us about the local culture, architecture, History, and food. A wonderful way to spend a day between Budapest and Bratislava! I highly recommend this tour!
