The Baths were nice, but the Dinner Cruise was the highlight!

We enjoyed the thermal bath in the morning, and went on the dinner cruise at 7pm. The Baths were under construction so only part could be enjoyed. The food was good on the boat, but the music, singing, and dancing with the views were the highlight. Fun historic paddlewheel boat to ride in.

Interesting as tour.cultural

I found it interesting to know, but I think it is only true if it is the premium or private experience. There's a lot of people in the bigger pools.

Average experience due to one of main features closed but Tripadvisor and its operator choose not to disclose this

Trip advisor and its operator were fully aware that the main outdoor swimming area was closed for repairs for months, but deliberately choose not to mention this. This outdoor swimming area and the outdoor thermal spa are the Main features, the stream and sauna are average, better ones in most gyms in the UK. Tripadvisor and its operator refused to compensate in any way.

Nice.

The queues were long, so we gave up the cruise but during the day we did the cruise and it was nice.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the daytime cruise and the beautiful views from the castle. We are sorry about the long queues for the night cruise and hope you will visit us again for a more relaxed experience next time.

Skip entirely!!

It was not a good experience. The food was awful. I’m pretty sure some of it was spoiled. The “welcome” prosecco may have been poured the day before because there was no bubbles. This may be the river cruise you take your partner if you’re breaking up. Mine certainly thought I was punishing him. The “free” alcoholic beverage was their own home made. All the “brand names” were altered to look like the real thing. Note..this was not the servers or entertainment fault. I just wish we wouldn’t have spent $. As for the Hungarian bath house. Way too many people in the indoor pools. We saw mysterious particles floating in the water. Some folks had noticeable rashes. We felt very gross. Very disappointed all around.

Good deal for your afternoon and evening in Budapest

It's overall a good deal. We've spent 3 to 4 hours relaxing at the spa, and the boat trip takes 1,5 hours. So you can enter the spa at 15.00, leave at 19.00, have enough time for dinner and hop on the cruise. The spa: There are many pools inside, but they aren't all unique. Take a good look at the maps to know which ones you want to try. The pools themselves don't have signs, the map has all of the information. Bring your own towel and slippers, those are manditory. The water may leave you smelling a bit weird, they do offer soap at some showers, but no shampoo. The cruise: The view is much better if you sit on the outside of the ship. There are enough seats there, but bring a coat in case it gets cold! Inside there is traditional music and dance. Take a seat near the buffet area if you want a better view on that. Overall 1,5 hour well spent.

Quite hard to get your bearings at the spa. We didn’t know we had to bring foot wear (spa shoes) otherwise they will charge around £8 for a pair. Good experience but very busy. Boat trip was great Hungarian dancers great photos and lovely

Must you have done...

The cleanliness is ok and repair works need to be carried out but all in all it was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice and busy. The prices of the drinks not exaggerated. We are already glad that we did not let the negative reactions guide us and that we still went. It belongs to the city as an attraction you must see!
