From the rural charm of ancient villages to the monumental ego of the Communist regime, this tour offers a complete narrative of Romania’s capital. We don't just show you landmarks; we tell the story of a nation. Your day begins with the Palace of the Parliament, a staggering monument to totalitarian power and the second-largest administrative building on Earth. You will witness the architectural ambition of Nicolae Ceaușescu firsthand. The journey continues to the Ceaușescu House (Primaverii Palace), where you’ll step into the private, gold-laden world of the dictator’s family, a striking contrast to the daily life of the era. We had an excellent guide: Gabriel. I rate it a 10. The least interesting thing was the museum of typical Romanian houses, but it was nice to see. The house of Ceaușescu and the Parliament. Top
The description only says parliament. But during this tour you will also visit the villa of ceausescu and the open air museum. NB the tickets for the sights must be paid in cash in slate or euros at the start of the tour. We were in a very large group. However, we have not experienced this as annoying.
Disappointed by the experience due to the group size, which was way too big at about 100 people, and to the surprisingly high cost of the access tickets, about two times higher than the price that can be found when booking independently. The guide (Daniel) was very knowledgeable and managed the situation the best he could, but the above aspects were too negative to be compensated. After this experience, I immediately cancelled the tour to the Peles and Dracula castles, also booked through Getyourguide and provided by the same company, which was scheduled for few days later. I am not sure that I shall get my money back, but at least I cut my loses short, since the Tripadvisor reviews of that tour tell about worse experiences, as it seems. Unfortunately, Elite Romania Tours is a poor service provider in terms of quality vs. price.
Very interesting experience, Gabriel , highly trained guide, highly recommended. Explain all the details in an easy and nice way.
