BA - FD Bike Tour with Lunch: South, North & City Highlights

Description
Buenos Aires is best explored at street level — and nothing gets you closer to the city than a full day on two wheels. Our signature bike tour covers 20 km in 7 hours through the neighborhoods that define the city, guided by passionate locals with 20+ years of experience. Ride through the historic south, La Boca, Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, Palermo and Recoleta, with stops for a traditional fire-grilled steak sandwich lunch, a mate ceremony, and plenty of time to take it all in. Small groups only (max 8 riders). From 6 guests, a second guide joins the tour for extra support and safety in traffic. Available as a shared tour in English or private in English, Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability). Choose between classic city bikes, handcrafted bamboo bikes or eBikes (extra charge, subject to availability). Starts and ends at Casa Castagnino in historic San Telmo.

We had an excellent bike tour in Buenos Aires with Raymond. He was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive throughout the ride, and we felt comfortable and looked after at all times. What we appreciated most was the way he explained the history and background in detail at each tourist spot. The tour was not only fun, but also really informative—Raymond made the sights come alive with engaging stories. We highly recommend this tour and especially Raymond to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you for a memorable experience!
Raymond has an in-depth knowledge of the culture history & politics and passion for his adopted city Buenos Aires having moved there from NZ. We cycled the city for 25kms on a Sunday which was ideal as very few cars in the city, and BA has a great infrastructure for cycling. Highly recommend!
We did the full day (7 hour) bike tour with Bikingbuenosaires. It was great! The riding was easy at a relaxed pace - about 25 km over the 7 hours. The best thing about the tour was our guide Pablo . He was very interesting, and told us a lot about Buenos Aires and Argentina, including history, politics, architecture, sports and daily life. We saw a wide variety of things and areas which kept the tour interesting. As we did this on the public holiday, Pablo organised Locro for lunch for us which was an authentic Argentinian experience. We now have a much better understanding and appreciation of this lovely city. Thanks 🙏
Thanks so much for mentioning PBLO! We'll make sure he see this. Our guides are the reason people come back — they know Buenos Aires inside out, they keep the ride safe, and they make it feel personal. That's not easy to find in a bike tour and we work hard to keep that standard. Really glad you had such a good time.
Great friendly and knowledgeable guide. Got to cover a lot of ground and included a nice surprise of tasting Mate. I don't give 5 stars simply because I felt I was missing the perspective of a local guide. Jackson knew his subject very well but as someone who is living for 12 years in Argentina, I felt (rightly or wrongly) that I was not getting a true "native" viewpoint having lived through the various challenges that Argentina faces.
Very nice all day tour with Debi. Sjekk tok ut through the city centers of BA and a highlight was the Tea ceremoni by the huge flower. Thanks!
What an epic way to start our time in Buenos Aires. Raymond truly made this worthy of a 5 star review. Went on a somewhat rainy Sunday but this was the best decision. Crowds were down bc of the rain which made exploring La Boca easy and relaxed. Raymond’s stories about culture and history really brought this experience to life. One of us wasn’t super into history but giggled along as his presentation of info helped paint the picture of how each neighborhood grew its personality.. The full day tour was definitely the way to go- mostly flat, so many interesting neighborhoods and sites to see; we now feel as if we have a good handle on these places to come back and explore on our own.
Our experience with Biking Buenos Aires exceeded all expectations. Although the tour wasn’t originally meant to be private, it turned into a wonderfully personalized experience that made it even more special. Pablo, our guide—who is also a professional photographer—captured some of the most incredible photos of our trip. Beyond that, he was extremely attentive, kind, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He took us not only to the iconic spots of Buenos Aires, but also to hidden gems that most visitors don’t get the chance to see. Lunch was a true local experience, featuring some of the best empanadas we’ve ever had. We ended the afternoon with a traditional mate experience, which, honestly, wouldn’t have been the same without a local guiding us through it. We are beyond happy and grateful for this experience. Highly recommended—10/10!
Perfect mix of sights for a wonderful day. Good info at a nice pace. Very personable. Book it !
