Just one hour north of Sydney, this hidden gem is situated on the lower Hawkesbury River amongst spectacular scenery, abundant marine wildlife and generations old oyster farms. Meet our friendly team who will guide you through how we grow and farm our pearls and oysters, and the process of how we grade these rare gems ready for pieces of beautiful jewellery.

Pickup Locations & Times
Take the 7.50am train from Central Station in Sydney, direction Newcastle for the Hawkesbury River Train Station. This train arrives at 8.50am. We will be ready to transfer you to your tour as soon as your train arrives. The transfer is only for guests booking the Oyster and Lovers Tour or the Shell to Showroom Tours. Transfer will return back to the train station at 1pm Please note that the price does not include the train fare.

This was so much more than I envisioned it would be. On arrival we were greeted by the team who were so friendly and welcoming. The jewellery designs are next level. Unique and beautiful with a great variety. The boat cruise was fantastic. Families on board. Information was explained well. Very engaging. On our arrival back for our taste testing, the table was set up and ready for our group. Nothing was rushed, the team is A1. It’s nice to visit a place where the staff are obviously passionate about what they do, are happy and love their jobs.

We had a wonderful day at Broken Bay Pearl Farm. It started with the personal pickup from the train station. We then were given a talk about oysters and how pearls are made. It was very interesting to learn the details. We also learned about grading pearls and got to see them open an oyster and find a pearl. Aaron did a great job. We then went out on the boat to the lease and got to see oysters as they are growing in the nets. Again an informational tour on the boat and learned even more. And then we got to taste different kinds of oysters. It was a well rounded day of learning and fun. We did buy a pearl bracelet but there was zero pressure to purchase. Everyone was just so lovely and helpful. We would recommend doing the full tour but if you only have time for one part would still be worthwhile.

Enjoyable and informative tour, split into 1 hour on a boat tour on the Hawksbury River to experience the local environment and see the pearl farm set up. Small group size with knowledgeable guide. second half was on land at their Display room to learn all about pearl farming of local Akoya pearls and South See pearls. All was well presented with some hands on experience as well. Another High light was some oyster tasting afterwards as well as their gourmet cheese platter. Both scored 10/10 in my books. I treated myself to some Akoya pearl earrings which will be a lovely reminder of an enjoyable tour

We booked it for 1:30pm on Saturday, got a call Saturday at 10:25am asking our whereabouts, apparently there was misinformation and they were told we booked at 10:30am. So we dont loose our booking we only had a choice to change it to Sunday 10:30am. This means we had to book a hotel to stay overnight. Absolute disgrace.

My sincere apologies if this wasn't clearly explained at the time, but this was an unfortunate error with the TripAdvisor booking system, which has since been resolved. While I understand the situation was less than ideal, I understood at the time that you were comfortable moving your booking to the following day. I also wasn’t aware this required you to extend your stay on the coast, and I sincerely apologise for that inconvenience. Had we known, we would have gladly explored alternative options with you. It was a pleasure to meet you in person the following day, and I’m truly sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet expectations. We did the Oyster & Pearl lovers tour . The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable not only about oysters & pearls but the local area too. We were lucky enough to purchase the pearl that was discovered in oyster during our session of how to farm and grade akoya pearls and oyster. Great way to spend time during your visit to the region.

Fantastic! Great day out on the water. Beautiful scenery packed with all sorts of information about oysters, their history and company. I highly recommend to all for a day out. The 3 types of oysters we tried were delish too! Also bought a AAA pearl that Aaron shucked, his PB I believe 7.8mm! Thanks all for the great day out

Fabulous insight into the world of farming oysters. There was so much more to it than we expected. The initial talk describing the history of the Brown family was fascinating and the boat trip out to the oyster farm beds was both enjoyable and informative. Finally the tasting at the end of the trip and browsing the pearls and jewellery in the shop all made for a perfect day.
