We were surprised to be picked up at the hotel in a vintage 50+ year old Fiat Taxi, so that was pretty cool, and driven to the winery. There was some confusion as we booked the 5 pm tour but were notified via Whatsapp we were bing picked up at 11 am, luckily we were available. Anyway, a young lady greeted us and gave us the tour of the Tenute Rubino wine cellar. She spoke engligh well enough and was pleasant, but the tour wasn't what we expected (no vineyard, no grape stomping). It was all a very modern factory and very high tech, so still pretty amazing if that's what you're into. The tour was about 30 minutes and we learned about the history of the estate, but no tasting. After the tour we were picked up by the same taxi to go to the wine tasting, but our driver (nice as he was) brought us to the wrong spot. After a few minutes of confusion, we walked to the correct restaurant and they had our reservation. We sampled 4 wines (and they were big samples!) with local food. The staff at the restaurant was pleasant and the service was good, we left stuffed and tipsy. Overall it was a good experience and I'd recommend it, but better coordination would be helpful.
