Uplistsikhe, the cave town is situated 7 km southeast of Gori on the left bank of the River Mtkvari. ... You will find huge echoing halls, long meandering corridor-streets, chambers for pagan worship and even the remains of Georgia's oldest theater there.
The route starts from the administration building (850 m). It is about 1.5 hr.to go through the trail, while after a 600 m hard ascent the trail straightens and turns to the left where the circle is done and goes back to the same section. The highest peak of the trail is 950 m above sea level. You can arrange a picnic along the trail.
Mtskheta is a city in Mtskheta-Mtianeti province of Georgia. One of the oldest cities of Georgia and its former capital, it is located approximately 20 km north of Tbilisi, at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers

We had a fantastic day exploring Georgia with our guide Nikoloz. The itinerary included Uplistsikhe, Borjomi Central Park, Mtskheta, and a delicious stop at Salobie. Nikoloz was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. He shared interesting history and local insights at every stop, especially at Uplistsikhe and Mtskheta, which made the visits much more meaningful. The itinerary itself was well planned, combining culture, nature, and food. Borjomi Central Park was relaxing and beautiful, and Salobie was a great choice to try authentic Georgian cuisine. Overall, everything was well organized, comfortable, and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour and especially Nikoloz as a guide!

We had an amazing day exploring some of Georgia’s highlights with our guide Iasha. The tour included Uplistsikhe, Borjomi Central Park, Mtskheta, and a wonderful meal at Salobie. The park itself is beautiful for a stroll, with scenic trails and old spa buildings that reflect the town’s history as a wellness retreat. Friendly locals, fresh mountain air, and stunning natural scenery make Borjomi a perfect place to unwind and recharge. Borjomi Central Park is perfect for a relaxing walk or family outing. The town has a unique mix of history and nature, with fresh air, beautiful views, and welcoming locals. A great place to unwind and experience Georgia’s natural beauty.
