Description

For wine lovers of all colours! Explore the vineyards of Bordeaux and visit two wineries off the beaten track: one in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation and the second in the magnificent Entre-deux-Mers region, and taste at least 6 wines. After meeting your local Bordeaux guide, you will visit a first property in the Entre-deux-Mers region. This is a magnificent region known for the diversity of its wines. Once you have visited the facilities, you will taste several wines of different colours. The tour continues in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation. Once you've visited this estate, which is very different from the first, you'll taste several wines (red and white), some of the best in the Bordeaux wine region. An original way to discover the richness of the Bordeaux wine region off the beaten track! 1:50pm: Meet in front of the Cité du Vin (Wine Museum). Your guide will welcome you and explain the day's programme. 2pm: departure. The half-day tour begins with a visit to a certified organic Pessac-Léognan winery. You'll learn how the wines of this region are made, visit the vat room and barrel cellar, before tasting the estate's wines (red and white, 2 minimum). Then we'll cross the Garonne river to discover another part of the Bordeaux vineyard: Entre-deux-Mers. Nicknamed "Little Tuscany", this is a hilly region that produces a wide variety of wines. You will visit a second wine estate, followed by a tasting of at least 3 wines (different colors). At the end of the day, you'll have discovered a little-visited part of the vineyard and enjoyed wines that are very different from one another. An excellent way to discover the diversity of the Bordeaux vineyard! 6.15pm: return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 min.).

Excellent wine tasting tour

Four of us went on this four hour afternoon tour. Our guide Ludmilla was excellent - very knowledgeable and friendly, and very attentive to the comfort of all. The tour started with a drive of around half an hour in a comfortable a/c vehicle to reach the first vineyard, where we were shown the vines in their bio- diverse setting, and given a full explanation of the wine making process. The wine tasting session that followed ( for different wines) was very informative and relaxed. We were then taken to the second vineyard which has organic status. Different elements of winemaking in this environment were explained, followed by another tasting of four different wines. All in all this was an excellent trip and is highly recommended!

Vert Bordeaux is the best choice for eco-friendly wine region tours

Vert Bordeaux and Emmanuel were very helpful and picked out some very special experiences for us that we would not have gotten anywhere else. Their commitment to ecologically friendly wines and winemakers is refreshing. All of our excursions were so interesting and personal with the information coming straight from the winemakers or those who worked closely with them. Emmanuel was very knowledgeable about the history of not only Bordeaux but also the surrounding areas and had excellent recommendations for us to do on our own. It was so much fun every day with him.

Entre-Deux-Mers wine and monument tour.

Excellent tour with a variety of different experiences. Grand-Sauve Abbey was a definite highlight. We also enjoyed seeing a family winery up close and tasting their wines.

Hidden Gem of Bordeaux

This trip is a hidden gem of Bordeaux. This is a wine and local culture trip. Emmanuel, our guide put a great deal of time and effort into creating an experience that far exceeded our expectations. The winery we visited was not just another “this is how we make wine” lecture. We met the owners, their new born baby, and walked through the vineyards with them and their dog. The other venues were equally unique, personal, and memorable. I wish I had more time in Bordeaux to experience his other offerings.
