Very pleasant experience. A professional team and a perfect bilingual commentator who knows the city and its history inside and out.
Did the 4.30pm tour on Monday 29th December. We booked the tour that included a glass of wine (or soft drink) and a canele for €19 per adult. We sat outside on the top deck for the first 30 mins or so to enjoy the views and sunset. Once it got too cold we went downstairs into the warmth. The tour guide gives lots of local details in French and English. All in all a really enjoyable and well organised tour and the 1.5hrs flew by.
A trip on a river is always pleasant. You see the city in a different way. Because it was a cold, wet day we stayed below deck. You can have a drink and buy a bag of chips. The commentary is through the speakers in French and English but due to the noise of the boat itself, that is difficult to understand. We enjoyed the views more. You sail a long way on the Garonne and then sail back. Was included in our city pass.
The guide was really polite, dedicated and enthusiastic. The tour itself was disappointing, as apart from 3 bridges, a park , a waterfront and a few fishing huts on the shore and the Weincity from afar there is nothing to see. Can you run/circle better, because from the water, the “viewpoints don’t look any better either. Nobody needs the tour
I booked a cruise tour for Sunday 14 September evening. I turned up at the venue half an hour before the stated time but there was no one there. I emailed the company requesting a refund and received an email on Monday stating that the tour was cancelled. I am disappointed and upset that I paid money and got nothing for it. The customer service is unsatisfactory. This negative experience has cast a shadow on what was otherwise a very pleasant 2-day stay in Bordeaux.
A beautiful tour with an exciting guide his city and therefore exciting. Lots of nice little anecdote about the city and about nice places to see and visit not necessarily historical.
Overall very good. The guide was great spoke English and French and also was the bartender. Busy guy! Great knowledge of the area worth the trip.
It was a very nice boat, convenient to the cruise ship. Positives end there. Advertised as English but was mostly French. There really isn't much of interest down river where the trip went.
We’ve had the opportunity to take various river cruises. This one was really nice. Good price. 90 minutes long, for a change. Comfortable accommodations inside and out, and Robin, our guide, was notches above the norm. He brought the history to life, was engaging, and fluent in English along with his native French.
The boat tour was not done and we waited 30 min in the rain. The boat company has not informed us that they are not doing a tour at this time and Tripadvisor has not informed us either... It would have been very nice for sure but unfortunately we could not enjoy it. I received a text message from the boat company in the late evening with a confirmation for our ticket but for two days later, then I am no longer in Bordeaux.
