Not a lot of frills, but you won’t miss them because the snorkeling is so good. I’ve been on snorkel cruises on catamarans with 30 or more guests, where you all end up in a tight crowd of life jackets and flippers, fighting to glimpse a few parrotfish or a lone sea turtle. This tour is on a small boat with maybe 10-ish people max, so you have plenty of elbow room in the water to make your own way (and no cumbersome life jacket required). The two locations are unbeatable — a close encounter with dozens of sharks and rays, followed by a meander through a coral labyrinth of more colorful lagoon-dwelling species than I could count. Absolutely spectacular. On the boat between the two spots, we circled some spinner dolphins jumping in the surf. And later our diver and guide serenaded us with ukulele and singing before the return trip.
The reef Was impressive and love the ocean and feeling on a boat. The staffs were very friendly and guided me through the reefs. It was the first time that I love snorkeling. If you like snorkeling you mist do it in bora bora
Ia Orana, Thank you for your kind review! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your first snorkeling experience and that our friendly team helped make it so memorable. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in beautiful Bora Bora!
We booked this tour through a Paul Gaugin cruise. It provided the experience of snorkeling with rays and black tip sharks-not the black tip reef sharks that tend to eat you. The water is crystal clear and shallow enough for most people to stand on the sandy bottom. Snorkel masks provide underwater views, snorkels and fins are not necessary. The guide actually pets and kisses the rays. You can touch them if you desire and they come close enough to you. Do not approach them or seem aggressive as they do have stingers in their tails and you do not want to deal with that. Remember Steve Irwin, The sharks come close , but you do not touch them or appear aggressive as they are predators, just the smaller version of the ones outside of the lagoon. Underwater cameras or phones in protective cases work well, and the water clarity actually allows good pictures from above the water. The trip includes going past over water bungalow developments and to another shallow area where a floating snack is provided and more rays cruise by, including right between your legs.
Short and sweet excursion. First stop was in shallow water to snorkel with black tip sharks and sting rays. Second stop was to a nearby coral garden that had amazing coral and diverse marine life. Excursion lasted about 2 hours
Amazing jet ski tour around the island with fantastic tour guide! Boat pick up was on time from our resort.
Very good experience, very friendly guide, you can take your time for snorkeling and a very good meal on a motu. Delighted with our day.
Thank you very much for this lovely Jean
The weather was not pleasant on the day of our tour, but c'est la vie. Vincent and Temere were very fun and knowledgeable. Vincent explained things to us in both English and French! I felt like I got a full tour of Bora bora They made us feel welcomed! The snorkling spot was gorgeous! Highly recommend coming here for a great snorkeling experience!
An exceptional day with a captain who was simply fabulous, taking care of those who were not reassured in the water with great kindness and empathy. 3 snorkeling sites One with manta rays One with rays and sharks A coral garden close to the ocean All in a remarkable Polynesian atmosphere
Most amazing experience. Love and Tema were great captains and guides! We were in good hands and saw a Manta Ray too!
